It’ll be a beautiful own goal from the maga lot if they riot. Get caught and convicted then they’re banned from owning a gun. Mmm toughy.

On that ferry to Bilbao does anyone ever use that indoor pool? much fun when the ship’s rocking and the water spills out of the pool into the bar floor. Can’t imagine anyone getting changed and going for a swim there while everyone else watches.

Once spent a horrific night on that ferry returning to england. Trying to save money we booked a chair instead of a cabin. Couldn’t sleep in the chair room so went and sat by the amusements, which are switched on permanently. I had 5hrs of cotton eye joe playing on a loop from some game or bandit. I was ready to roll the thing off the side by the time we docked.

First time parents in their mid 30s. Both wear high end branded active wear and smart haircuts. Their tent is a Teepee. Their trekking sandals cost over £150. They are pulling a 4 wheel flat trolley with a fat happy baby in who keeps trying to grab things but only succeeds in making everyone smile.

Mate you’ve got too much money. Give £200 to a homeless charity and vacuum your massive house yourself.

If anywhere civil unrest will happen in America first. They’ve got loads of guns and loads of people dying to use them.

Personally I’m hoping aliens will come and save us.
We’ll give you limitless energy technology if you give up weapons and destruction.

We are totally dependent on capitalism. As soon as the systems for delivery of food breaks down we’re kucked.
And anyone who requires medicine for their daily life is also knackered.

For revolution to happen the common man has to have the basic necessities denied.
Food and water, housing, heating, clothing and security.

Of course I would be respectful to other campers, I’m not some inconsidersate prick. I won’t always be at the camp site.

I like the fact that the producers are thinking out the box and having a Pred show up in historical locations could work really well!
Where would you like Predator to show up in history next to interrupt proceedings?
Gladitorial Rome? Vikings? Victorian England at Christmas? lol.

There’s superb cheeky all over there.
On top of Burbage rocks is great after a lil bit.
White edge is fantastic, ride it from the Longshaw side.
There’s that bit of woods above Baslow where you turn left off the bridleway, down the steps and go right, then spank it through the trees, great fun.
& from near the start of Froggat edge opposite on the road there’s a fp with a gate, carry your bike down some steps then follow your nose all the way down to the Church at Grindleford, cracking technical decsent or you can also get into it from the NT carpark that you access a bit further on, on the road, just cycle through the grass at the bottom of the carpark.
I’ve done a figure 8, climb over to Lady Cannings on Longshaw and Houndkirk Moor, then burbage rocks, then white edge, then back along curbar and Froggat.

A great way of saving money, time and effort if you’re camping is to camp in the grounds of a youth hostel or an independent hostel. You can then use their kitchen for all your cooking, saving you the bother of taking all the kitchen stuff in the car. Quick run up to the hostel in the morning in your crocs to get some hot water for a brew!
Also if it rains you can then use their lounges and indoor spaces, saves the kids going mental inside the cramp confines of a wet tent.
We’re doing this next week, going to the old YHA, Derwenterwater Independent Hostel near the shore of the lake. Hopefully the kids’ll make friends and me and the wife can chill.

I’ve been through bowel cancer surgery myself 12 months ago and also had chemo in the 3 months following. I’ve lost the use of my bum, which is lovely but manageable. DM if you need to talk things through mate.

Agree with everything she says and then do what you want anyway, no point in arguing about things in the future.
Don’t argue about things in the past.
Be aware when you add things to the convo that will antagonize, generalisations like adding ‘like you always do’ to the end of ‘you haven’t done this’ – have a conversation about her trying to do the same. If she does, bite your lip and ignore it.

Moaning about something after it has happened does no good whatsoever.
    and related.
Giving someone advice about something they’ve already done does no good whatsoever and may actually make them feel worse.

It took me about 40 years to work these out. Totally pointless.

I’ve just been informed by my work colleague smart a**e that honey doesn’t decay. So my universal truth opener is not technically correct. Will a jar of honey outlive the human race??
Apparently because of the make up of honey it doesn’t allow bacteria to flourish, there so now you know a thing.

A big dashed line on the OS map does not necessarily indicate a cycleable trail.
