Need plenty of that when on natural trails, where I live, peaty mud clags into everything, not such a problem on the local trail centres.

will have to go check one out ,

Bandit is that the 26 or 29er

Cotic Rocket looks to be a good bike , not sure on the weight o the full builds.

Anyone have an SB66 carbon, or the Santa Cruc TRc??

I’m 95kg in my gear never noticed flex in mine, 20mm front and 142 x 12 rear set up, thought they were great wheels, light and fast with Maxxis Ikons.

Thanks for the replies, I was looking at the Blur Trc and thought maybe with a set of 34’s set to 130-140 it would be fun , 150 maybe too much, SC recommend 130mm as the sweet spot.I’ll give Tft a call, see what they say. :-)

If they are float 36 just reduce the travel, you dont have to run them at 160mm , then all is good. :-)

link above to a forum of 650b users , I’ve been asking around about my SantaCruz Butcher,

as mentioned only concern is too high a BB, I happen to like low BB so it maybe not for me, but it is interesting to try if i had the money I would try it.

The wheels come with QR for running your standard QR 135mm, or as I have done you can buy 135 x 10 adapters for bolt through QR I’m using a DT Swiss 135 x 10 RWS gives a bit more stiffnes to the rear.

Zesty ,Yeti SB66, not ridden any but they spring to mind, I’ve owned 08 Heckler , latest 5 and a Remedy 9 , really like the Remedy climbed awesome, now have a Butcher similar TT to the Heckler but climbs and descends much better, suspension and geometry is improved, ISCG tabs taper head tube gives you good options, Blur trc not quite 140mm but longer TT.. were on offer at Stif the other day..

my Orange 5 was slightly wider than the hub not by much never took much notice but when i tightened the maxle up you could see it pull in very slightly, don’t think it was out by more than 0.5 to 1.0mm

Running a Maxxis Ikon on my 29er grips and rolls very well bit expensive but probably the best tyre I’ve come across

I wanted to do more events but they have been cancelled even built a new bike for the no fuss 10 -10 events which were cancelled in Wales so just saved my money , also wanted to do some gravity enduro events but dates clashed with family events so no luck there, and have no money to travel far so was hoping to do more local comps, and have now given up, and just go riding, also it is very hard to find details of events, and I guess the weather does not help much..

Its more like 12 weeks , I’ve broken mine 4-5 times , stretching out in the shower with hot water on it helped me recommended by a physio I went to see to help recovery and gentle stretching, oh and anti flams really help, I couldn’t cough sneeze turnover or c**p without uber pain, two cracked ribs , torn muscle and internal bruising…probably took 12 to 18 months to finally stop hurting but I did carry on doing what I was doing , training etc so probably didn’t help oh and broke the same ribs again which really annoyed me, they are really knobbly now :D

Buy a Reverb , the up and down thing is great , its just a superb tool , the only -ve is the initial cost and if you are a weight weeny , it makes me a better rider, I struggle with the seat up and the saddle reaming my butt on steep techy trails. :D
