I’m local and we have about 10-12″ snow here, and Llandegla is higher than me so probably alot more, snow board would be good :D keep an eye on their website and facebook page, usually updated :D

I Have a mate who doesn’t know anything about whats on his bike, he just rides it till it breaks then I fix it for him then off he goes again, he just likes riding , no interest in the bits on his bike, :D

I had a 36-11 and 32 upfront on mine was fine for most climbs the odd really long one I had to dig deep , but I am a fat old duffer, I run an XTR + mech and an MRP X1 with an e-13 single ring , moved the set up over to my 26″ bike but now run the e-13 XCX spins out too easy so have an 34 to go on soon.

Followed a storm trooper a few weeks back and his riding friend, he lost control and hit a tree pretty hard, so I guess he was right to be wearing all the protection, he must have know his skills where not quite there yet, he had white armour from head to toe, did save him though :D

Leave switched on, switch off for removing rear wheel, Zee looks great value, more gravity biased, I’d go Slx save some weight… I’m running XT + been great so far :D

1 x 10 is fine with a 36-11 out back and a 32 up front , I used an Mrp 1x chain device just looks like a front mech ish, and one of the new Shadow plus rear mechs with a clutch that stops things bouncing around as much, Shimano do the clutch mech in Slx if your on a budget then you just need the 10 speed shifter, XT and Xtr you can just buy the right hand shifter, not sure about Slx, oh and a chain :D

So quite positive so far for the money they seem great value, and would only be ridden a dozen or so days a year unless I really get the bug :D

Ok mixed feelings on the XT not sure I would break them by riding soooooo fast, but maybe falling off or bad line choices, never broke any thing on my bikes component wise so maybe I am a mincing rider, snapped my swing arm once mincing down the black run a Llandegla.

Duane, only time the DH bike would go to llandegla is for work in the shop, quite happy mincing round on my Blur 125mm , more than enough for the trails at Deggla. Fastest mince round the old Red 49mins 53 secs, new Red 52mins 51 secs both on my 80mm travel 29er , on my 150mm bike 54 and 57 something… nearly killed me , sadly over half a century old so struggling to get better.
And try some DH before I get my pension. :D

Now looking at Zee , :-) or 2nd hand saint , I am 95kg so not too light.

I should give a bit more detail , I have a trail bike with a 2013 XT groupset, so was just thinking of swopping it all over, XT brakes, cranks mech, shifter etc, it is already set up 1 x 10 with e-13 ring and chain device, , then all I need is forks and wheels , I have a front one just need a 150mm rear, my disks are 203 front and a 180 rear so they should be fine. :D will my Hope Hoops with FlowEX be ok on the front and what ever I can get for the rear.

Had 36’s on mine for a couple of months set to 130mm was excellent, if it was my only bike they would stay on, with the FlowEx wheels the bike tracks very well ,32’s and crests are good but as you would guess dont plow the road like the 36’s :D

    Orange website spare axles lists the 223 and 224evo as a 183mm x 12mm (150 axle) and the 224 as a 177mm x12mm so I’m a bit confused which is a fairly easy thing for me :D

Been running XTR shadow + with e-13 XCX on my Blur for a few months now no dropped chain ridden 2-4 times a week, had an MRp x 1 on an 80mm travel 29er with xtr shadow + mech dropped the chain a couple of times, don’t know why same cranks chain ring etc

boxxer , managed to get my Fox fork of CRC for £349 they still have some 130’s left for £439 :D , I was about to buy a set of RS Revs then saw the Fox :D just been out to my work shop found a 20mm spacer so my job for tomorrow ,, we are supposed to have heavy snow in the morning ..
Butcher is also a great bike climbs great for a 6 ” bike mine is around 31lb and is also quite poppy , the Butcher is a medium and my Blur is a large , I’m 5′ 9″ and a bit so betwen the sizes , Blur is for more Xc riding , Butcher for more aggro :D

top pic boxxer , Float 32 150 Rlc taper , will adjust them to 130-140 for quicker steering and better climbing, wheels are Hope Hoops Crest rims, did a 3′ to flat by mistake today, and all was well
the set up with the 36’s and flows was temperary til I bought new wheels n fork, if it was my only bike I think I would have left it with these fitted , it rides amazing in this set up, i love my 36’s had them for 4 years. Got my Butcher if I want a bit more skill compensation :D

    Blur Tr video[/url]

Had my Trc for about 2 months ,

So far getting on well with it , I have a Butcher also before that Orange 5 , Heckler ,Nomad , superlight , Trek remedy 9, Giant reign ……
Jumps well , the slightest pump and it seems to leave the ground, still adjusting to it, but they really do fly.
Climbing is good mine is a bit slack at the moment running my fork at 150mm which has spoilt the handling , had a Float 36 set to 130 to begin with and that was awesome (borrowed it of my Butcher)
really loads of traction and grip , the best I have felt, its only my fitness that holds it back but you can feel the bike shoot forward when I can attack a climb on the trail , the best part is how they rail corners again scares the poop out of me how fast , thats down to the lowwer BB and howthe bike drives into the corners.
Some people moan about the low BB but I’ve had no problems ,

The alloy tr looks good and only a bit heavier , very nice bike,
guessing mine is around 26lb ish.
