Just swapped from cheap van rated tyres to (van rated) Contis – so much quieter and nicer to drive

    You’ve got van-rated alloys I hope :)

We did the Dolomites with Colletts this year – flew to Venice and they picked us up from the airport which made it pretty low stress.
If I went back I’d probably got with them but self cater as our kids were too young for the organised walks etc.
They also do point to point tours with stays in mountain huts if you really like hiking.

SWB T4 here with a Kombi sleepover folding bed platform.

We can just about get one bike front wheel out down to the side of the bed. (Its 3/4 width) and one bike under the platform.

Tight but doable. Works ok just for sleeping but we never cook in the van.

Shame DMs don’t come in half sizes. Spent ages deciding between size 9/10, went for the 10, now a few months down the line after breaking them in, they are too big for me :-(

Going to keep an eye on this thread and look at non-DM options

It’s very sandy round here – my brooks lost a lot of it’s smooth polished surface on one really wet ride.

tbf, we did you through a gravel quarry…

Went with Colletts to Badia in the Dolomites.

We went to some great play areas up the lifts, some great scenery, lakes.

Nearly pushed the button on a week in Seefeld, then saw that the lifts, pools etc were all extra cost.

I think we got a bit spoilt last year with the joker card making pretty much everything free in Saalbach

Thanks everyone, looking at hotel/packages after staying in Saalbach last year – it was very stress free.

We’re wondering if a hire car might be useful if staying in Zell am Zee

    I’d second (third?) all that.

I’ve gone right off iron age hill fort designers since the weekend though.

I hope you all did the gratuitous extra mile + beer in Puddletown forest :-)

buy a ticket as these pay for the maintenance of the trails

IIRC, Crown Estate pay for trail maintenance, car parking fees go to Bracknell Forest Council, not sure there is a direct connection.

Happy to be proved wrong. (I’m local ish and park and pay every now and then)

if you have all the URLs you could craft a set of curl command lines – copy and paste those lines to a terminal

I can recommend one of these – Travel Cot

But we didn’t pay that price! Bought second hand and then sold on for what we paid for it.

I’m cobbling together a gravelly cx type bike from bits kicking around the shed.

I hope your “cheap” build doesn’t get as expensive as mine has!

This might help you with the small spring

    Briggs by mtbjeff[/url], on Flickr

So you set the throttle, and then the pneumatic governor works based on wind pressure off the fly wheel. Big load = no wind = more gas

FWIW, my mower came off freecycle – carb needed a good clean and a new plug and has been fine for 2 years now.

no adapter unfortunately, 160 mm rotors

need to get the caliper further outboard too.

I guess what I’m looking to do is the same as adjusting chainline.

I’ll double check I’ve not done somethinf stupid with mounting the centrelock rotor.
