I guess they do it to stop people buying loads of tickets with no intention on going and selling on for profit nearer the event (cause it sells out quickly).

But then no good cause they send everything to printers 1 Jul and so cant change anything and genuine cant goes like myself lose out 🙁

Looks like money lost then, dammit. I will try and see if they will be flexible if someone else were to turn up with my tickets

i just installed Analog bars after having RaceFace SixC bar. I found RFs a little unforgiving and getting arm pump at rocky trail centers.

I also needed a slight rise to the bars (10mm of RF not enough).

I use the Joysticks in anger tomorrow and can let you know my thoughts post that but they look awesome (gfx right up my street) and the finish is spot on.

I believe the bikes should remain the same but willing to be corrected on that as i cant be bothered finding and reading the rules!

Surprised to see Kulhavy down the order i thought he had more, maybe he will in later rounds. Absalon i feel should have called it a day but guess he needs to do this this year whilst he builds his team.

Schurter can take something from the fact of how wasted Gaze looked and his fight to the line being unlucky with pedal slip. I reckon he will be out to smash next race, be interesting to see if he can!!

first 16 in the short track start at the front with very top being front row. Others in behind them all, so advantage of a good start.

The short track needs to be as technical as the main course otherwise everyone will use a hardtail and full sus will be obsolete, which would be a real shame and could limit how technical tracks could get.

I dont like half points, so think many will concentrate on this to gain points and then settle for top 10 finish in main race rather than battling in both (i.e. sacrificing stamina for speed). Had it been quarter points or less then people still have to focus on the main race and getting the best finishing positions.

I am and I didn’t need any adaptor just b screw adjustment. I think it might depend on hanger length/position meaning some  bikes it wouldn’t be any good.

    Fine with 1×11, 46tooth on a Scott Spark 2009!

    https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/article/halfords-discounts

“10% off is valid on any cycling-related purchase, excludes gift vouchers and Halfords Autocentres”

Seems worth chancing it as some give discount on everything but officially its only cycle-related purchases.

    Sorry to be on topic…

Very much sounds like personal reasons are behind the shop closing, maybe a falling out behind the scenes / withdrawal of backers / people wanting some of their investments back etc.

The big question is whether it simply isn’t viable without the involvement of Rob W etc, as they would bring it major kudos and make it a place to be / spend money. Without their involvement its another bike shop… if you get my meaning, so i cant help but think Rob W has pulled out (not to vilify him, i have no idea he personal circumstances!).

Shame and all the best to them.

You should get x-ray to ensure no danger of splinters hitting your lung, in which case they could recommend some surgery.

Unlikely but best to be sure than end up with a punctured lung (in my opinion 😆 )

I have a trimmer to keep it at a certain length that i use roughly every week. When i shower i use conditioner on it and then Argon oil after i dry it (cause the wife has this oil so why not).

I refuse to go to any more effort and even this seems a lot.

I have Eagle X01 and already after a few months and not much riding the jockey wheels are suffering.

Uberbike are bringing out 14tooth wheels soon hopefully so i can replace them!

We are forbidden from wearing spandex ha ha

“Dress Down Friday” includes no denim but as hundreds turn up in denim they cant really send us all home!

To add, if you do Thick and Creamy, Clunk, Northern Monkey style trails (i.e. gaps and big drops) then the Capra.
If you stick to BKB, Yogurts, Summer Lightning (i.e. some steeps, some small tables) then the Jeffsy.
My 2p worth although either bike would be great!

Another down there every weekend if i can help it on my AL1 Capra and i find it amazing for that area.
Sure you can do it all on a hardtail (my mate does) but for me the Capra soaks the jumps, trashes through the roots/rough and leaves me smiling.
So no, I dont feel over equipped! 🙂

i just got one from bike-discount.de for under £250, better price thanks for the euro rates and general cheapness anyway.

Used mounting kit of old shock as it was in good condition otherwise you will need to buy new mounting kit, but thats not too pricey.

Likewise, took me two bleeds to get it right. straigtening hose of the bike is a good idea and make sure you pump through plenty of oil and knock the cable to free any air

See your doc would be my recommendation as well, but beware of being fobbed off onto drugs too easily (often not the ideal solution and can cause many more issues).

Often is a seasonal thing too, Jan is a depressing month (cold, wet, xmas over, long pay month often etc).

Maybe try going to some gigs / jamming with mates / learn instrument but try and keep it social, friends are often the best cure.

    All the best 🙂

    Refunded…

Rob, please refund when you get claim sorted, reply to my email so I can maybe help.

Good call, drac. I will refund him now and when claim comes through he can pay whatever he gets to me.

My name and reputation is more important to me than the cost.

I can wait without public flogging.

    Thanks

Another point is it had a return label, which ‘fell off’.

Anyway, that’s my name through the mud and will take this offline with rob. Which will be refund back to him if required.

If royal mail won’t pay I should take the hit but they admit mistake and he can claim refund.

If this wasn’t the case I would pay due to putting 27.

Why attempt delivery to #4 when it says 27 and it exists as you can see above.

Anyway, email rob so if royal mail refuse to pay I will refund him.

Damn, Dropbox not showing PIC I just took of 27 and little proof message. I will email it to him now so he can see.

I pay him back and he claims refund as well?

If he can’t claim then we will sort out paying back but he can claim.

Why should either of us pay when the tossers at royal mail failed?

    jdavidge

I am looking at #27 now. It exists!

    jdavidge
    Free Member

Simple fact is it should have been delivered to 27 as it exists (I may post a photo) and royal mail tried to deliver to #4.

Seller was very generous to refund immediately and I expected him to get a refund (it has to be him claiming for refund, I can’t).

Through this I learn no luck and hope he will contact me so we can sort it out.

At the end of the day, royal mail agree there is a claim and its just taking time.

How could I fiddle royal mail system to make it look like its in Belfast? (I don’t work for royal mail).

And like a tit I did put 27 instead of 28 as I was sat in a meeting, honest mistake, which unfortunately I corrected to late.

Happy to meet anyone local (and show the #4, #27 and #28.

This would be me then? I still haven’t received anything and there is a #27 on the street, it is across the road.

Do you have a contact at royal mail and I will help you chase, I am an honest guy with no issues (check jdavidge2002 on eBay for example).

Understand your stress but would rather you contacted me directly for help than on forum (which a friend spotted).

As said, let me know number as they are giving you shit. I will talk with #4 and see if they did reject a delivery.
