depends on how cold it is. Sometimes the draft is welcome.

I once asked Nick Craig how he keeps warm after a cold Merida. He replied "ride harder". Inspirational.

I was hoping to avoid the pinch bolt option as this would be needed to be done when I change the pads and stuff. Surely too much pinching isn't good?

No problem. If you need pictures and that, email is in profile.

Nah, I don't appear to have these fitted. I was hoping to avoid pulling them through at the calliper as this faff.

I think they are mini v brakes. It's a Genesis Day One cross. I'll have a look at some form of Travel Agent, seems to be what it needs, was just hoping there was some riddle that came with it I needed to solve.

Brakes worked brilliantly on the first ride! I was just using one finger. Then it got muddy.

I have a super old Scott Expert Racing frame, which is aluminium. It's blue and 2003 I think. Well used, but definitely still good to go if you fancy making an offer.

Is it a coincidence there's an advert for a baby care website above the BMX?

Yeah, that was before a summer in the Alps. Pretty pasty white. Can't see what else is wrong…

    I love I love I love it

Millions of pictures. I've had two.

    This is my old one.

This is my new one. I got the new one because of the larger frame size.

It does it all really. I used it for 14 weeks last summer in the French Alps doing mainly XXXC so lots of big climbs and savage descents. I enjoyed being able to lower the forks a bit, having them at 140mm for climbing wasn't the best but by no means not bad. I did have some 160mm Wotans on, which was pretty sick.

I'm looking forward to getting next years model hopefully.

It's straight out of the box so I've not got new pedals for it yet. Can't wait to take it off road properly.

The stereo isn't that old skool! It's loud.

No way to golf, it's an incredible sport. Surely you can't hate something you've never tried.

How about athletics? All that waiting around and waiting around for a few seconds of action.

    I operate a gash guard.

It's well XXXC. Must be worth the money (a fiver) for the number of scrapes it's got.

If you don't need a big ring, just do it.

I like to flash my front fog lights on and off at them when I see them. Again, I can't have the back on without the front. It's actually illegal is it not?

I'm looking forward to trying it out when I'm home for Christmas. Having ridden there since I was about 4 with my dad, I look forward to seeing the changes.

If it's a light bike, get XTR, if not don't bother. Get the 990, it looks awesome with the red.

I can't recommend a Surge enough, why it was me who introduced Oli to one (probably). I spent a summer in the Alps doing XXXC so there was lots of brutal climbing and awesome descending and it was a dream. Run mine with coil u turn pikes. Climbing is mint.

Sam, just buy one. (Assuming it's you).
