Have you phoned the hotel to try and cancel? Nothing to lose by trying.

Don’t pay more than you need to (£8.99) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252185840303

£200 … hoping that’s not for 2? What size are they?

I generally put the details into Etyres and find the cheapest brand I recognise. Local independent place will usually match the price.

Why can’t you agree to drop the price? The vendor will want to fit the cheapest windows they can get away with. You are going to have to live with them for the next so many years.

Fensa does seem to be a load of nonsense … but when you sell you’ll be asked for the cert so it’s worth getting.

Assuming the roof isn’t letting in water I’d think you need ventilation too so air can blow through and get some of the moisture out. Also the waterproof cover probably won’t help as it will trap the moisture.

Given that the 4S is quite old now the problem is finding one in good condition and with good battery life. Just be careful buying one secondhand.

Samsung S5 is good though … I’ve rinsed mine down after rides!

Feedback is mostly pointless – either they want to buy it or they don’t.

Post a link – we’ll give you some pointers …..

Call them and see what they say … I’m surprised they would allow the account to be that much in debt.

Are you using electricity to heat the house?

Managed to buy my current bike on Gumtree … because the guy before me didn’t bother to turn up!

I bought an Etrex 20x a couple of weeks ago. Very pleased with it so far on and off the bike. Decided against a touch screen so it can be used with gloves. Also I’m not sure I’d want anything bigger on a bar mount.

If you own the domains create a Nominet account and force the transfer from there. Change of registrar is £10+vat.

I was given a Parker Jotter (plain one, not all metal) many years ago. Would have been about £5 or less … very comfortable. Just keep buying refills.

I find you get better results having them in a wall socket – not an extension lead – certainly not a surge protected one.

    Chainring(s) size?

What sort of riding do you do?

Are you sure they won’t do a pre paid label for you? bike-discount do I think.

The Boardman Pro looks to be a good deal – down from £999 apparently. Also consider the Voodoo Hoodoo … at £499 it’s still an excellent bike with reasonable components – leaving you some money to buy pedals, shoes, clothing etc.

Lots of people will have got ‘upgrades’ at Christmas … I’d be looking on ebay over the next few weeks.

I’m considering something for mtb / walking / geocaching. Looking at the Garmin etrex 20x – the 30x doesn’t seem to add much for the extra cost. Not sure if it meets your road turn by turn criteria.

I would have thought the most important thing is that it is well cooked.

1996 Orange C16-R … still gets an occasional ride. Worth more to me than it would be to sell.

Garmin Etrex 10 would do that – but it is very basic. The 20 and 30 are more expensive but allow you to display maps.

Call your bank and explain what has happened – I don’t think you’ll have any problem getting the DD refunded. Make sure you get them to cancel it too.

I got a cheap tow bar from Tow Trust. Then got an auto electrics place to fit it and wire in the electrics. Works perfectly.

Hitch lock / wheel clamp, spare wheel and suitable jack are all very good ideas.

Find a builders / timber yard rather than a diy place like Focus. You’ll probably pay less for the panels and delivery will be much cheaper.

You’re right – there seems to be no information at all on the damper side. That said I would think the only thing you could do would be to change the oil. As far as I can see (having trawled the net and youtube) you take the control knob off the top and then unscrew the whole unit. There’s an SRAM doc detailing oil levels.

Perhaps replace the headunit with a bluetooth/usb unit e.g. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/bluetooth/head-units/dsx-a60bt-usb-car-stereo-with-bluetooth

I store all my music on a tiny usb flash drive.

Is your soil stack internal or external?

We had similar weird things happen. Turned out that because the soil stack was internal (and finished in the loft) … the air admittance valve in the loft had failed. Once replaced everything drained correctly.

If your soil stack is external this won’t apply.

I used to buy stuff from Hein Gericke, their own brand was good value. Not sure what they’re like these days.

If you’ve commuted on your bike already that’s a good start. I did that for years then did direct access. Then got a Suzuki Bandit 600S. Only took 5 mins off the 10 mile journey though!

    Have fun!
