I’m treasurer for our Scouts .. the best thing we’ve done is have the subs collected automatically. Whatever system you use they will take a small cut .. but it’s worth it. You could try https://www.onlineclubmanager.com/ which is a clubs version of the Scout system.

Also consider getting a SumUp so you can take payments off people .. the less you handle any cash/cheques the better.

Yes .. looks fine to me.

    A 135 QR will definitely accept a 8, 9 or 10 speed cassette.
I thought the Shimano 11 speed MTB cassettes fit too .. am I right?

    Deore 10 speed?
I run an old SLX crank up front with a narrow wide.
Then a new Deore rear mech with a 11-42 cassette.
Guess you could get an older rear mech, though it might not work with the 42t or 46t cassettes.

I’ve got one. Fits perfectly and has been very reliable for the last 18 months.

To be fair they do get good reviews .. I think you’ve been unlucky. Perhaps let CRC try to resolve the problem.

Did you not supply an email address too?

We had a positive test for our son at the weekend .. T&T we’re on the phone at 8am .. got cut off .. they called several times until I picked up.

Pointless exercise now .. almost no one needs to isolate if they’re a contact.

As has been said .. there’s loads of videos on YouTube. Very easy to disassemble. Doesn’t need to be packed with oil .. just a tiny bit of grease. Not sure what your bike shop are doing. You can do it all yourself with a 2mm Allen key (I think).

    Chain too short?

No .. chain length set according to Shimano suggestions. Using a 32 chainring / 11-42 cassette .. not sure I’d want the mech going any further when on the 42.

Myself and the neighbour did a 6ft one a few years ago … speaking as a 5ft 8 wimp … get a friend to help. The posts are heavy, the gravel boards are heavy, decent panels are heavy … you get the idea. Also it’s helpful to have one hold stuff in position while the other lines it up.

Merlin have this for £169 https://www.merlincycles.com/prorace-cupid-alloy-frameset-176117.html

Don’t seem to be many cheap new frames about – Planet X / Ribble have stopped doing them.

@franksinatra which Amazon ones do you recommend? They sell several brands.

    Thanks.

    Fussy.
There’s a Boardman for £650 … with more subtle colours. Still think the Voodoo is better!

What model is it? 6 and 6s are easy. Guess 7 and 8 are similar.

Think I paid £600 for my Orange C16-R in 1996. Had 21 speed STX-RC, canti brakes. Loved it.

@steveo I’d go for 45mm SKS Bluemels .. work well with my 700×37 tyres and fit through the forks.

Voodoo Hoodoo worth a look at £550. Deore gears and an air fork .. good value!

    Considering both of those too.

S9 – waterproof, quadlock case available, small battery
A50 – not waterproof, no quadlock case, large battery, large screen, cheap

Also consider the Pixel 3a … though you can’t get it direct from Vodafone yet. Though you can get it from other suppliers on Vodafone.

The same happened to me last year. I found the same bike on ebay being sold by Halfords at the lower price. Worth a look!

Sounds like the frame is setup for cantis. The hole at the top of the forks could just be for a light.

https://www.merlincycles.com/sensa-romagna-tiagra-road-bike-2018-106187.html at £525 with full Tiagra that’s amazing.

There also a 105 equipped bike for £499 … but only in 52cm which may be too small.

Have to agree with the others … get a small usb drive. Much better than having a load of CDs floating round the car.

The stock number seems to keep going back up … very odd. I feel the need to buy a pair even though I’ll probably never need them!!
