macmclaren – I almost went for Virgin about 6 months ago; in fact they almost installed it at one point. They dug up the road and tied a bit of rope to my fence and then nothing. I’ve contacted them so many times and I get BS from them. Their customer service is shocking and I am still waiting for them to return the initial £75 I paid out for the V-box. I too fancied the nice package they were offering but I have stuck with freeview for now. Having done a few searched online, there appear to be many people suffering at the hands of Virgin’s incompetence.

we get talk talk – apart from customer service they’re great. No download limit and I have seen actual download speeds of 1Mb per second. It does the job nicely and we’ve been with them for a few years now.

I fixed one with my tubeless repair kit. 10000 miles later and still going strong! Another 10000 and I’ll need a new tyre. I will post back in a years time and let you all know how I got on.

yes yes… the annoying neighbour can go in, too.

I actually do need some help with this. I can’t find quality land fill anywhere! Where do I get stuff to put in the ground?

Must recommend Trailaddiction in Les Arcs. Pretty reasonable and excellent guiding at whatever level you want. I’ve been twice and took my wife last year.

I learnt to dive in the Dominican Republic while on honeymoon. We did our PADI open water certification there but the training was a bit sketchy. We recently were diving in Jamaica and I took a refresher course which was woefully inadequate. Definately do your training here in the UK and I’m not sure about PADI anymore. Thinking of going over to the local BSAC club and starting again.

As r6ymy says. You just need one to fit the cups. A spare tool costs about £12 to £14.

cyclelife – is that the new SC Nomad? I want one!!

I managed to get to the park and ride around a few times with the dog barking and biting at the wheels – very embarrassing. After 3 laps he stopped biting and ran in front of me for a whole lap – perhaps I have broken his habit.

Blind Faith by Ben Elton – a bizarre, yet entertaining, portrayal of what might be the next steps after Facebook & STW and of course the end of the world. Not up to his usual standard but I’m still a fan.

The pics look awesome and very inspiring! I am going to do that next summer and hopefully the Helvellyn range. I just need my dog to stop biting the wheels when I am riding!

I’m in at 1062…. I didn’t know this existed until now. This will give me some incentive to get out on the bike and lose a few pounds!

DezB – how do you do it? my border collie tries to eat my wheels and won’t stop barking if I go out with him on the bike.

flatback – responsible owners pick up their dog’s poo. Feel free to openly chastise people if they don’t clear up after their pooches.
