What’s the sizing like on the Sentier? Large for 5ft 11?

I’m not after anything too fancy. Just one colour with trek logos back on the sides. Or maybe even without. Not sure yet.

Choosing the colour is the hard part!

My non DUB one got changed at 18months as thought it was creaking but even then the LBS said it was looking ok.

I bought the x tools one from Wiggle. No issues in past year and pretty accurate.

It’s done! Totally blitzed my longest ride of 32miles!

7 1/2 hours in total, was tough and my there were a couple of times I thought I would not make it.

Didn’t make it up the hill, not many people did. Heat didn’t help.

Well done to the ones that made it up (inc my mate on his gravel bike!). Big respect to them!

I dont think OneUp and Brand X are the same? One up is much shorter insertion?

The v2.1 actuator makes a big difference and the new V2 lever is better.

Well it’s looking warm dry and sunny tomorrow. Ground will be easy going!

Would people recommend a slightly higher tyre pressure?

Rear suspension on mostly lock out I guess when it’s long and flat!

Purely for personal achievement I want to get to the end whether it’s riding, walking or crawling!

I know it’s an easy ride for some but from being stuck in bed unable to walk a few years ago this will be something for me to reflect on.

This was my creak that I chased for ages

I think mine was derailleur hanger but I had full strip down so could of been something else!

Ha! It has sort of lockout. Maybe I should run it like that for the entire ride?!

Was just looking at the Alpkit Solvitur coolmax ones.

Did notice they do MTB specific ones but they are pretty short.

Thanks. Might have to try both sizes and bang in between. £2.99 per pair for the Coolmax ones seems decent!!!

I find my FatBar lites pretty comfortable even though some find them the opposite.

Worst bars I tried were the RF Next (not the R). They mullered my wrists.

Could be down the the sweep though.

My LBS now stick Deity and they tell me the Skywire is a comfortable bar.

They have started doing OneUp stuff so will see what they think of them!

My 2nd oneup v2 arrived today. Collar comes off but…

The post is not central to the graphics which with OCD I driving me mad lol

With the post in straight and the graphics lined up the seat is off at at angle.

2nd issue – put the v2.1 actuator on and rather than it sitting with the cable at the back its going off sideways! No way to fix as its just threaded like that!

That’s 2 in a row that have been a bit meh!

I have a set of ODi pro’s to try alongside my old Ergon GA2 fats and GE1 Evo.

From just gripping them I think the ODi and GE1 are instantly more comfortable rubber wise than the GA2.

Just tried it and it came out at sit bones of 13cm. Exactly the same as what the Specialized ass meter did.

    Probably a lucky guess!

Couple of suspect things with my post – think it might be a return job resent out.

Top collar is not moving, looks like the saddle clamp has had a saddle on it at some point. The bottom part looks like its been removed and had some different grease applied.

The Santa Cruz adaptor looks used too as has a lot of rub marks on it and the green is rubbing off.

I have lost 20lbs so far so going in right direction!

    Quite big thighs too lol

Yep got the card so will see how it goes! Henge looks more like the Pure that its replacing but like the idea that the Phenom seems to have more movement on the sides.

    Anyone compared the padding?

I have some Ergon GE1 Evo. Not comepletly sold on them though as they only really work to a full effect when your wrsit stays in the same position. Fine if always standing or always sitting, but not perfect for both!

Looking for something around that diameter though so maybe the ODI ones might work.

I have the expert Phenom to try. It’s a lot firmer than my current saddle but maybe that’s a good thing!

Will try both and see what works out best!

I’m all set set bone width as was measured and the Phenom and Henge were the 2 saddles to look at but the Henge was not in stock in my width so giving the Phenom a try.

Was just wondering how it compares to the henge for long rides and more sitting than the norm!

Well now i have gone from looking at a couple of pairs to shed loads!

Will look at some of the Tifosi ones.

The Planet X selection is huge!

So after a few rides I can highly recommend the Specialized 2FO.

Great fit, toe box is generous and they are just as grippy as the 510.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
