Local scout or DofE group? Ideal for practising putting tents up.

Yes Elland woods are worth an explore. Also visited the woods at rastrict, not sure what they are called. Certainly an area I’ll keep exploring.

Following – just started exploring this area myself. Been using the spring rock inn as a base.

Yep it’s much more worthwhile going out for a potter when it’s nice and dry and you dont have to sort out muddy kit.

I built one up for the missus a few years ago, 2×10 SLX gearing, deore brakes and 140 sektors. She rides between 5 and 12 times a year and keeps saying to sell it but I managed to build it for £270 all in courtesy of the free ads and spares bin so it owes me very little. Its a great bike, a tad small for me but I’ll take it for a short blast now and again to check its all in order.

Great looking bike. How do these size up? I have one on my wish list as my next bike.

I asked a police officer friend about this a few weeks ago as I had fitted my towbar but not sorted the electrics. She’s pretty new to the job so asked some colleagues and showed them a picture. I did state it would only be used in daylight, had added a number plate and as it was attached to a van all lights were clearly visible. Both her and her colleagues said it looked fine.

Got brand x posts on both my bikes. Not had any issues.

Theres no set procedure. Some sellers may offer to cover the fee others might insist the buyer pays. I suppose a 50/50 split is best for both parties.

Paisley freight always been good for me and halfords are pretty good for getting old bike boxes. Mine usually has a few outback that they are happy for people to take.

I’m the Bradford side of Halifax so tend to do Shibden, Ogden, Judy Woods. Elland Woods, Rastrict and Norland Moor are also worth a visit.
Plenty to go at around Halifax.

Yep, once flipped a lads handlebars over. He’d somehow fitted them upside down so brakes were reversed and shifters upside down…

Stage 5 was great to watch!

I also had my first burp on the sat, just after that nasty rooty section.

Jordan if it was near the bottom, last bend and over the jump it was probably me. Still had great fun.

My mate built a ramp which we had outside the beer tent sat night for an hour, great fun to watch people on but it got a bit lively/daring so it had to be put away.

Had no internet up there or I’d have called in for a brew.
Another great weekend, jockey wheel fell off transitioning to from stage 1 to 2, walked back and found, the bolt was still in the mech, dropped chain on stage 2 and jammed the crank, dropped chain again stage 5 and had to try roll/pump the last part.

    Same time next year!

Only the small matter of a days work before I hit the road. If its not in the van now its not going…. Bike, beer and helmet.

    Oh and my photo ID.

    Bikes looking good Andy.

My mate pringled his front wheel on stage 5 practice, drove home for another wheel and ‘competed’ the next day. He’s signed up again so hopefully he’ll have more luck/skill this weekend.

Bit gutted that stage 5 is blind, its an easy pedal from the campsite so was easy to practice.

Had the same issue and had to bite the bullet and get the 2x lever, it works well and think I prefer it to the 1x lever on my other bike. Think it cost be £25 but got a good deal on the dropper so that eased the hit.

i’ve got the 2.0 vivaro so different engine but that suggests a new chain at 100k, i’m not sure of the time length but ive also found TVP (Trafic, vivaro, primastar) groups on facebook pretty useful for gathering information.
