Also included a link for donations to support his family, he was a Yorkshire lad that emigrated to NZ.

Boardman Team FS – these seem to come up within budget, 27.5 and 140/130mm ish of travel if I’m not mistaken.
I’m selling my cannondale trigger soon but need to hold onto it for now as using it for Ard Moors.

I met the guy that was ‘flying’ this a few months ago.

I’ve not had any experience of running an oval ring. Heard mixed reports but as it’s a relatively cheap upgrade it’s worth a punt so you can make your own mind up.

How are your brakes? Bigger rotors?

Yeah looked at the smart hotel and it was coming in at €100 per night, think we must have got some sort of deal. We flew into an airport further afield so transferred by bus which was quite reasonable in the scheme of things…

Went in February and stayed in ‘Smart Hotel’. Clean, modern but our room was very small. Wasn’t really an issue for us as it was just used to sleep in, the rest of the long weekend we were out exploring.

I’ve let my ticket roll over but might be in Borneo so hoping for a later Aug date so I can still take part.

It sounds like more of a positive if the buyer is travelling as they are likely to be genuine.
A mate recently sold his BMW M5 and as he could face tyre kickers, test pilots and potential thieves he took a hit on the price and sold it to we buy any car.

Tried the on one helmet and found it to be far too warm for me. My friend I passed it onto doesn’t seem to mind it.
Managed to get a good deal on a Bell Super and find that works for me pretty well.

Aye thought it was bike discount. Keep checking in myself to see what’s on offer.

The market is saturated with Boardman Team FS’s, 650b version can be had for as little as £350 which takes some beating.

Good on you. Nice to hear no grumbles, I like to have a BBQ and a ‘few’ beers in the garden twice a year and the neighbours are pretty good. I like to think I’m an ok neighbour for the rest of the year and help people out which gives me a bit of a pass. I’d tolerate neighbours doing the same too aslong as it’s not every weekend.

I’ve ruined far too many rides in the past by being hungover, these days if I’m riding I’ll leave the booze as value my time on the bike.
One mate used to get away with hangover but I recently rode llandegla with him and the effects of the alcohol really showed on the ride (him not me).

I’m interested in the base model Spectral, seems great value but this thread follows the theme of other stories I’ve read. Some good some bad.
Was planning on demoing one at Ard Rock too.

I’m selling a med cannondale trigger at the moment if it’s of interest, 2015 bike that has been well used but also well maintained. If you want any further details drop me an email.

£700 should go a bit further one we approach winter, just depends if your friend can hang on.

Another vote for the TR, had mine a few years and still enjoy riding it. Great after sales service too which will be hard to come by from any other manufacturer or shop.

A few of us have just bought one of those event shelters between us. Not really tested in yet in any real weather.

When the straw is ejected it requires time to dry and lose moisture before it can be bailed to prevent the nails from rotting. That’s my guess anyway.

You can check to see if the seller has read your message. The message will have an envelope next to it until it’s been read.
You can also reveal the sellers phone number on some ads. You may have more success text messaging or calling.

Another vote for Boltby Bash, great laidback feel to the event and everybody seems friendly enough.
Only done the Gisburn round of the PMBA but it was a steady enough ride and again lots of friendly folk.

I too have lately started taking less kit on rides however I’d always take a pump and tube out at minimum in a hip bag. Over the past few years I’ve probably given away more tibes to fellow cyclists than I’ve used myself.

Now that they have reopened camping tickets you could just buy a nights camping and use it to park your car if required.

They think that all the camping pitches will be full but if you are lucky enough to get one on the day the price increases to £10pppn.

Theres no rush to get to each stage so dont rush and push the bike if you have to. Steady away and enjoy it.

I’m in Bradford but will keep an eye out.
I saw an ad on gumtree a few weeks ago for a full suspension rocky mountain ebike and the seller had ‘lost’ the charger….. £900!

    T&C’s.

Have a look on the fire service resources thread… you’ll soon work out who the firefighters are.
