I was between M/L, was advised to go large but found the bike was a touch too big. I swapped the 150mm dropper for one of the £59 ebay jobbies with 125mm drop and the bike is spot on. I think the red looks better in real life than and pictures don’t do it justice.
This sounds like a position I was in before Christmas. I now own the spectral but for me the decision was made easier as YT’s stock is a bit hit n miss. I like the canyon and the spec is quality. I’m located in west Yorkshire, if your local pop in and we’ll do a circuit.
I was in a similar situation, wanted something that could handle the odd enduro but could handle a good pedal in the Dale’s. Bought a Canyon Spectral 5.0 which I thought was pretty good value. I know some people aren’t into buying bikes online but the direct saving price was worth it for me.
I use my bell super for the odd enduro, nothing too serious. I’m sure something along the lines your looking at will be fine. You are not obliged to wear a full face but it’s nice to have the option of extra protection and be able to remove it for transitions.
Bought a spectral and the 150 dropper was a tad too high so purchased one of the 125’s from Ebay and reconnected the cables.. it’s been Bob on. The brand x droppers do have a bit of play but for the price you cant grumble.
I’m not sure fines will be issued to parents under these circumstances. We had about 350 pupils missing today from a total of about 1400. Unfortunately many pupils are claiming to be suffering from the symptoms which leaves us no choice but to send them home for 14 days.
Support staff in a high school, not a great deal for me to do if we are required to work from home. Some of our staff and pupils have already had to self isolate for 2 weeks due to passing through northern Italy during half term.
The missus works for the NHS and visits elderly patients, she may be drafted in to work on hospital wards if required. Both very fortunate that we’ll still receive wages.
A friend at ASDA head office has been told to work from home on as of Tuesday.
Bought a spectral but with 150mm dropper it was a tad too big so got the 120mm dropper from Ebay and its spot on. Worked out perfect for me as the cables were already in place and routed.
There are a few other brands that have adopted the dropper and renamed it such as Bird.
Went in the summer and really enjoyed it, did fall lucky as it was a national holiday so loads of pop up stalls and bars plus tonnes of street food and a huge firework display.
Plenty to see and do + very reasonable prices.
My riding group seems to have lost interest this year, doing this one and Gisburn PMBA solo, Boltby and Ard Moors with 1 or 2 two mates. Looking forward to Ard Dales, watched some old youtube videos of the Guisecliffe trails.
I was one of those walkers trying to avoid the new claggy clay footpath, passed through just after mid day so the frost had thawed making the mud ankle deep in places.
Had a few of these over the years, there is a bit of play in them but never bothered me or caused any issues. They have been much more reliable than any reverb I’ve had.
It should do, had to take the 150mm dropper off my canyon as it was a touch too high even at maximum insertion. Its spot on in the hardtail though. I can pop down with a 150mm brand x to try if it’s of use and your still in bfd.
Entered as i like riding that area, my mum has a static caravan at Lofthouse so get up there quite often.
I’ve sine read some of the blurb about big jumps and i’m now having second thoughts….
When I pursued my HSBC claim i received a letter saying I had no case…. a few months later the money appeared in any account and a week later I received a letter saying it had been reviewed and settled.
I’m never going to be troubling the podium but enjoy a good enduro. The main thing is to go out and enjoy yourself. I still get nervous at the start of a stage but once you get pedaling you soon forget about the nerves!
