I had an old but never used set of xt765 calippers and managed to get a good deal on some xt775 levers. built them up and the seals on the calipers leaked. took a gamble and got another cheap set of the same calipers and they have been spot on with no problems for the last year.
I’ve just been given the green light to construct a fire pit but lacking inspiration at the moment so looking forward to seeing how other people have gone about it!
I’m not big on maintenance and usually get flak on rides for the amount of noise my bike makes. the night before a ride around guisburn i greased bearings and tweaked gears… last job i thought i’d check pressure in the rear shock and my crap shock pump stripped the thread on the valve and let all the air out. ended up doing the ride on my trusty GT.
I worked for a company that sold ‘entry level’ bikes including folding bikes, we were always getting them sent back due to poor build quality. Defo better off getting a good quality used one.

How long you looking to be out for…. We do a loop around esholt/baildon/apperly bridge but its not long although there are some good runs in the woods in esholt.
Traveling in oz a few years ago and a bloke flags us down, he’s meeting his wife and children at a holiday cottage and has been cycling for days. poor guy was on his last legs and it was getting dark so we slung him and the bike in the back of the camper and drove him there. in return he offered us a bed for the night but we made do with a brew and a biscuit as we were tight for time.
Shame just seen this, very local to me could have lent you a bike. if your around again feel free to get intouch. As mentioned bowling park was your best bet or theres a short circuit round richard dunns sport centre, it

A friend of mine had his Whtye stolen from Wyke not so long ago, managed to recover it though! Woodside & Delph Hill would be the first places i’d take a drive around!
