Always good to factor in the price of a service too, even if the seller claims it’s been done recently.

I went down the oil drum route, spent about £150 but when it’s complete this will also include a rotisserie.

I just replaced one of these on my friends sons bike. To remove the old one i carefully cut a notch in it with the angle grinder i then inserted a screw driver into the notch and gently tapping with a hammer loosened it. Any excuse to use power tools!

Started off working as a TA in a PE dept then worked in a pupil referral unit doing outdoor ed and am now back in main stream education where I look after a year group. Love the job and the hours but as mentioned competition for support roles in schools is quite high.
There are online courses about safeguarding etc and a first aid certificate will also make you more attractive to potential employers.

My friend bought an audi S3 a few years ago, it was under a cover in the showroom and they did a grand reveal…. he stood there and said that’s nice but where’s my car. The salesman gave him a blank look. My mate had ordered a 3 door and the dealership had somehow managed to order a 5 door!

Many many many years ago a friend of mine worked here. He recovered a saddle on my bike. He no longer works there but could be worth a try.

Like qwerty my first proper mtb was a pantera just like the one you’ve bought. STX & STX-RC kit. Yours even has the origional tyres that were specced on it (velociraptors).

We travelled for a month around Thailand and found it quite easy to book travel and accommodation. By booking hotels a few days in advance we managed to get some great prices although we did go at the back end of the season which also kept costs down.

I posted a complete bike with paisley freight a few weeks ago, it was approx. £22 although if I had opted for additional insurance the cost would have been higher.

It varied really. If the flash didn’t get used then battery life was extended quite a bit. I used duracells but really should have invested in some rechargeable batteries.

I took a fuji film travelling a few years ago and it did a great job, it took a real battering and is still going strong. Newer models now have better zoom and more megapixels and retail for around £99. The only downside might be that it uses AA’s but this was an advantage for me as when travelling there wasn’t always the opportunity to charge it.

I removed a similar brick fireplace out of my house last summer. They came out quite easy. The wall was then boarded and plastered and ran a wire behind the board ready to receive an electric fire. Fire looks good for the price and is only used as a feature with the lights on. (Think i’m the only person on the forum that doesn’t have a wood burner).

Gave my reverb a test in the car park before setting off on saturdays ride and it wouldn’t return. Attached the shock pump and it read zero, put the required 250psi in and it worked fine for the 90 minutes we were out.
