Well the home insurance was a no go. Pauls Cycles have agreed that a £200 deposit will secure the frame for 28 days. I have the cash for the frame but with my luck I’d better keep something in reserve.

I challenged Cannondale UK/sports cycling group about the replacement scheme but they have failed to reply, if Paul’s Cycles did not have any frames then I really would have been up the creak.

I’ll definitely look into the appropriate insurance, especially after finding out how little help Cannondale were prepared to offer.

I’ll look at the home insurance option and thanks for the bird info…. i’ve lost a touch of faith in cannondale. It was my fault but it was not a big impact. As a few have said its good that i escaped without injury.

Just pumped £1k into car repairs, will contact pauls on monday, trouble is with parts like the dyad shock and straight 1.5 steerer my options are limited…… to cannondale.

Not sure on the time limit been exploring all options but think this is the only one left. Enquired about a crash replacement but cannondale uk showed no interest and even said they don’t officially offer one even though its advertised on their website. Their advice was to see if home insurance would cover it.

Merlin were spot on when my reverb developed a fault.

Can’t advise you on that model but had an AMR and loved it…. had some trouble with the frame but hotwheels were really got and got me a replacement part foc even though it was purchased second hand.

We were tenting it out front of the refuge and temps did really drop once the sun went down, also had a few hailstorms but would love to experience it in the winter (he says whilst sat on the sofa with the fire on).

Would love to do it in the winter. Came across patches of snow in july but nothing major. The road from hell has been surfaced but does suffer from landslides.

Did this in the summer however it was an organised school trip so all was pre arranged through a UK company. Spent 2 weeks in Morocco in total. Great experience. Did a few days on the coast at Essaouira which was a great place for R&R.

Both days are a 45k loop with 5 timed stages. The idea is that the more serious riders do the saturday and the sunday is slightly more relaxed. No timed loop start to finish.

Unfitgeezer never said they ruined my day but they were well out of their depth. I wouldn’t dream of taking family members down a black route unless i knew it and knew they were capable.

I came across a family having a pootle down hully gully at gisburn a few weeks ago. I was off the trail helping a mate fix a puncture but all 5 of them stopped to get off bikes and push down a section. They were so lucky they didn’t get wiped out.

Keep your eye out for some second hand deores. People often take them off bikes before they have even been used and go for around £40.
