Try Leeds Urban Bike Park, they have bikes to hire and a pool of instructors to might be able to put a package together.
We used to take a small group of pupils from a WY PRU to Ladybower, it was a bit of a distance but we used to get a good deal on the bikes however you’d probably need to arrange your own qualified instructor. I believe the bike hire place was seasonal so probably closed at the moment.

A full bike could be different but when I have returned goods in the past I have had the option of leaving them at a local collection point.

Another paisley freight user. Used them loads and never had issues. Always opted for the bog standard service although I wouldn’t have had any/Much come back if there were any issues.

Drop the shoulder, grab some food, taxi home…. It’s my standard method of leaving!

Checked mine in August thinking it was due in September only to find it expired in March. I consider myself very lucky as somebody else I know was pulled by the police and received £100 fine.

Hully Gully will be a bit of a mess in the wet (and less fun than it should be), so take the new Long Way Down section instead.

Nah do Hully Gully AND Long Way Down

7 of u, was a great event last year with one of the lads finishing his first enduro. Great vibe to the weekend and a proper friendly event!

I love how there’s no PSA’s until after entries have opened. I still can’t believe how slow it fills up.

    PMBA gisburn

    Boltby

    Ard Rock

    Ard Moors

    Should be a good season!

I’ve probably sold more items through the wanted ads than for sale ads… saved a lot of messing about.

Does MTB fit in with the skill section… if 8t does the assessor needs to be a non family member (I think).

Had my 4th visit last weekend, it’s a great place and love the fact you can chop and change the xc loop to vary it. Plan to take a group from work in Jan, most don’t bike much or are roadies so it’s an.ideal spot and pretty central for us all. They couldn’t believe it when I said there was no cost involved although we’ll be sure to visit the cafe.

If it’s like it was in 2017 nothing can prepare you, luckily it was much better this year and hopefully 2019 will be a good year too. I hear tales of the first ard moors in 2016 been a dry and dusty event!

I’d only just figured out how to add pictures tyres to the old system…

Same as Bigfoot for me, bit too close to Ard Rock. Did this event used to be in September?

Sometimes those last minute unplanned breaks can be the most enjoyable. Have a good weekend and make some good memories.

Id ride it til it actually cracked

I’m not sure the frame would just crack, if there is a total failure of the frame it might not end well. The wall art is a good idea although my wall art is only allowed to be displayed in the garage.

Another fan of pink bike, much easier to host pictures too than it is on here and easy to navigate.

Yes unfortunately I should imagine they will be split and the parts sold off. As mentioned above there’s some serious money to be made and at this time of year unsuspecting buyers probably purchase them as presents.

Had my TR for 2 years now and ride it more than my full sussers. My use is pretty much the same as you have described and the bike has been spot on, the only exception is the DH but I’m keen to give one of the 2019 enduro events I’ve entered a go on the TR. Where are you based, are you in a position to demo one?

I would have opted for the AM but my budget at the time wouldn’t allow it.

Wallets a bit lighter this evening… Fancy a crack at NN but it’s too close to Ard Rock for me, did it used to be later in the year or did I imagine that!!!

I have found that if I post the pictures on my pink bike profile I can just copy and paste them on STW.

Yep it’s going to be a tight Month, PMBA, Ard Moors and Boltby all out of one pay cheque!

Sure, the Ard events sell out in seconds but most of the rest don’t.

Some PMBA rounds sold out in 50 minutes, the boltby tickets usually go quite slowly but I bet sales are much quicker than last year.

Probably the same shop that Damascus is talking about but my LBS only sells parts and does repairs, it seems to do well and there’s always somebody in there.

I worked for a company that sold bikes online, I’m not sure if it’s still doing as well but we’d ship £50 bikes per day, on the run up to Christmas this would increase to as many as 500, all pretty low end stuff but people just like the convenience and lower cost.

Did Boltby for the first time last year and it is a good size, this came in to play when they had to close a stage due to an injured rider.

I believe there is possibly a family connection between the two event organisers (the organiser of boltby is the father of the organiser of AR). Don’t hold me to that though!

We don’t event attempt to get tickets for the 7 stage events, 5 of us on the intro so happy with that. Lots of unhappy people on facebook!

Some of the lads in our group brought kids and wives for the first time this year, they all loved it and hope to be back next year if we get tickets. I think it really depends on the weather though, it was great this year so the kids spent time taking part in some of the organised mini events, playing in the river and generally entertaining themselves on bikes and kicking a football on site.

booked a 4×4 to drive across the Gibb River Road from Broome to Darwin

Did lots a mileage by road on our trip but never managed that one, some people we met managed to roll their 4×4 on that road.

The 20 minute time allowance has now dropped to 15, definitely worth bearing in mind if you don’t bag tickets at 6.30

Was talking to 2 lads this year and for the whole cost ‘food, fuel (from bristol), entry, camping etc” it was still cheaper than their usual entry to a music festival, I l9ve to moan about ard rock and will always find a grumble but I’ll still try enter as long as prices as a whole are reasonable!

Prices of events went out in today’s email. Don’t think there’s been a huge increase.

    Another vote for second hand.

Built an On One 45650B for the total cost of £280, that includes deore/SLX running gear and brakes along with Rockshox Sektors. Its a buyers market this time of year and as we approach Christmas I can guarantee there will be plenty of bargains about.

That is poor, the main reason I purchase from my LBS is for after sales support!
