The only thing I’m unsure of is the integrated seatpost, seems clever but could be a pain if/when it goes wrong. Very happy with the spec though.

It’s fully built sat in the living room, took less than 48 hours to arrive. I’ve not ridden it yet but I’ve not seen anything else that comes near it for price.

Well I pulled the trigger today on the Riot 170 Pro, missed out on the first round but they had a restock today.

Not been able to find many reviews but pauls cycles are knocking out some cheap ghost bikes, they’ve just had a restock on some today.

Sentinel… job done. A friend works at Buffield in Baildon and they often have dodgey companies using their carpark to store cars for airport parking.

IME it’s very difficult getting money out of Ryan Air, earlier this year we also had a flight from LBA that couldn’t get in due to high winds, plane diverted to east mids so we were transported there by bus, eventually got on the plane after we were all reissued new boarding passes however the plan went tech just prior to take off, by the time it was fixed the crew ran out of hours. I agree the initial problem was weather related but the mechanical and crew issue were not, even involving a specialist claims company we were not able to claim for anything.

Top or bottom butchers in Pateley? I always go top!

Plenty to go at in that area, a few mentions of scar house and that end of the valley. The lead mines are another place worth incorporating into a ride and although I’ve never done it there are some good descents in guisecliffe woods I believe.

    Where will you be based?

That Riot EN for £1400 has caught my eye. I’m away at the moment but will probably take the plunge if they have my size left when I get home.

Another Brentacre user here. Give them a call and ask to speak to one of the underwriters as they seem to be really on the ball.

You’ll be fine with the Lidl boards, had mine a few years and I’m no lightweight and it’s quite capable of carrying me and another adult!

I heard the bottom camping field is very boggy at the moment and might not be usable, still over a week for it to dry out I suppose.

Gone for a 9.30 start time, also hoping for some lovely weather as it could be my unfittest boltby to date so need all the help I can get. Just waiting on a new BB to arrive and I’m good to go!

Brentacre, I like that yhey don’t charge more for mods as long as there’s no significant power or value increase.

Hargreaves in Dewsbury are still a GT dealer. Not been in for years though so not sure what it’s like these days.

Token ninja – in my experience they last longer and run better than standard press fit BBs and are cheaper than the wheel manufacturing kit.

Following to see what dates set, suffering from a dodgey knee at the moment but like the idea of this. Keep meaning to visit Pateley Lead mines on the bike but haven’t managed it yet.

Following as I also plan to go next summer. Not the ideal time but as I work in a school it’s the longest period I can go for.

Rode yearsley woods last year ehich had some good stuff in it. Got some great advice from people on here. Padded the ride out with a pedal to Hovingham and back for lunch which I took on flat gravel tracks. Got chatting to a nice local who said he could get to Malton all off road but again I can imagine that’s pretty flat too.

Brentacre are usually very good when it comes to mods unless BHP is increased or the value is massively increased. Hope you get sorted OP.

Yeah its the old stage 6 and a descent on the other side of the road climb too. I race sat so plan to take an ebike for a demo on the sun and do the loop.

Last year’s strava reckons it’s about 11km and 400m of height.

Great place, few years since my last trip but the way they worked then was you either bought for the morning or afternoon, tickets allowed you to queue jump all the slides once (apart from the tower of power). Worth getting there before doors open to get a good spot to base yourself.

Might be interested if I’m free. Be great to venture round with somebody who knows the area.

Ard Rock have released a statement, sounds like it was 10 competitors that had bikes stolen and all have been recovered.

No comment from them on the price of beer though….

Very minimal security snd the camping area is quite open with a public footpath running through it. You can be sure that the same person/people will target Ard Rock.

Yeah heard that Gisburn PMBA had been targeted. The odd bike has gone from Ard Rock in the past but nothing of this scale.

Hopefully the event keeps running, i heard there have been issues with the landowner(s).

Looks like my info wasn’t totally accurate, off ground BBQs are allowed but no firepits.

Start time email came through Sat 6th, go on sientries and pick your time but cant imagine many/any early slots will be available.
A mate is up there now and he tells me no open fires or BBQs this year.

Yes very limited facilities on site, there are no local shops either.

Another super user, the chin bar has been handy for enduros, clips onto my pack for the ups and attached to the helmet for the downs. I have found myself using it much less lately though.

Yeah 8 of us heading up from west yorks, all with poor fitness but never had a bad Boltby weekend. My plan is to practice stages 3 and 5 on the Sat and have a pedal to the pub, save the legs for the Sunday.

Bought a used limba last year for £100 and had big plans, rides up the aire valley, commute to work etc. it gets used once a month at most for a local potter but for £100 its worth keeping hold of. I’ve not had any experience of gravel bikes prior but its seems to do the job.

I can’t make it this year. Was hoping it would be in Sept but they’ve brought it forward meaning about 8 of us can’t do it.
First did it in 2017 with all that rain, surprised we ever went back!

Another offer for Halifax on Tuesday afternoon if its of use, could head straight to the PO.
