As per bensales… Daisy went to sleep a year ago yesterday after developing kidney problems, she was 16 so had a good life.

All very sad but it was the best decision for her. 🙁

So, Russia are closing in on a couple of nuclear power plants in the south of the country. Theoretically, what would happen if they were targeted by missiles, would they go up or are they fairly safe from that sort of bombardment..? I’ve no clue.

In a similar fashion to the response from Snake Island to the Russian naval ship.

What would bombing the Kremlin actually achieve?

A Kremlin Crumble.. or positively better an Eton Mess..?

Regarding disbursements, make sure they are using the new Land Registry fees which were introduced at the start of Feb when calculating their completion statement.

Holding on to the stamp duty cash to the last minute would be a bit naughty as it might trigger an embarrassing late payment penalty notice from HMRC to be sent to the purchaser of the property. Also, if it needed to be sent the same day a faster payment or CHAPS fee might be involved and it that was claimed for by the solicitor on their invoice I’d be unhappy.

A year to investigate some parties!! FFS!!!

Police investigation ‘won’t take longer than a year’

More lines now from the Met Police commander leading its investigation into parties, which Boris Johnson has repeatedly urged MPs to wait for over the past hour.

Catherine Roper has told the media:

Her team will start contacting people soon to ask them questions and expect “that people will tell the truth”

The investigation will not last “more than a year” and she wants to fast-track it

The police wanted Sue Gray’s report to hold back certain information because it would otherwise make it harder to interview people and have them provide “their account from their own memory”

Police officers on duty at Downing Street could be questioned if appropriate

Officials and advisers began arriving shortly after 6pm. While many stayed away, about 40 came. Many took up Reynolds’ suggestion in his email that they should “BYOB” — bring your own booze — taking a trip to the Tesco Express next to Westminster station. The drinks table was well stocked with gin, rosé, red wine and white wine, and guests began to arrive and mingle.

Asked about the Tory MPs who are warning him that he could be removed as leader if he does not get a grip in No 10, Johnson refused to answer on the grounds that it was a question about politics and politicians. He said:

“Can I remind you of everything I’ve been saying in this interview? That is exactly the kind of question that breaks the golden rule.”

Not sure I liked this exchange.

Andrew Rosindell (Con) says the government cannot deal with illegal migrants while still constrained by the Human Rights Act and the European convention on human rights.

Johnson says the government is reviewing the human rights system. He says Labour should back the nationality and borders bill.

This is another good read about the background to his ideas.. (possible spoilers). Apparently he did partake in desert trips.

    Report it.

A gentleman from my village ran my boy off the road just recently after giving him aggro out of his car window. Trip to local hospital for the boy and he’s OK. All witnessed by a kind neighbour who provided pics of the vehicle.

I found out who the driver is and they denied it, via their partner 🙂

Reported yesterday and followed up via email to me today by TVP.

There are some loonies on the road 🙁

Me and the missus were in the Sari Club and Paddy’s bar in Bali the night before the bombings. If we hadn’t flown home that day we would have probably been in either one or the other when it happened.

We use a rather nice case management system that really does cut down the time and effort involved. Once the estate is assessed we plonk in all the assets and liabilities etc and the system then generates all the IHT and probate forms etc.

One other point to note is that the HMCTS probate lot are hugely under pressure and even when you get to the point of applying for probate things are taking much longer than expected – bear this in mind if you are going to be putting the house on the market.

12k + Vat – Look elsewhere. We’d probably charge about 2-3k + Vat for that.
