The thread asked for. What bikes do xc racers ride. So…. If your ‘not’ a racer then perhaps Don’t post.

    /andypaul99 – are you having a laugh!.? That’s the lame’est thing I’ve ever heard!
Not much riding this year? More ££ than sense.

Cookeaa – No have not experimented with pressures yet – Popped the tyres on at 40psi to get the rim seated and went out for a ride. Even at that pressure there grippy (er) than my old tyres. Apen 2.25 exc.

As for meths…. – Read on the interweb about the mould repellent and stans not sealing, so why not, I had some in the garage.

I’ve also heard that the Race Sport don’t like tubeless but I’ve had no issues. I don’t know if that’s because of me cleaning them or they just worked.

Its common for the continental NON tubeless ready tyres.

Hi Rob! Yes yes It was only on the legal paths…

I used the Xkings as they were fast rolling so were still ‘semi race’ but with added grip. The 2.4 steam rolls everything and has totaly transformed my riding. I even got a KOM down salisbury hollow and as you know its loose rocky.

Only problem is – 0 mud clearance now on the rockshox even less than normal.

As for PSI – I’ll have to experiment. although the rear when low pressure sqiums alittle so found it best pretty solid. Should be good next weekend at Bonty 24/12. You doing it?

I’ve got a 2.4 Xking on a ZTR Alpine. Slightly slimmer than a crest! It’s fine.

Was it the 2.25 X-Kings you tried?

What the grip like? What terrain are you riding on?

Racers’ dreams come true. This super light ‘Rocket’ answers almost every demand at one time: Incredible grip with extremely low weight and fully loaded with all the latest technology – 127-Evo-carcass, PaceStar Triple Compound, U-Blocks forming an open tread that has exceptional self-cleaning properties. Countdown begins!

Why would it be any different to was is in the description?

I got the worst cramp ive ever had after 1 hour 7 minutes. I had to stop. Now – its only 4 hours – I should of been able to go at the pace easily for 6.

To put it this way – I needed to MTFU. on a 26er.

2nd Male Solo was on a 29er Scandal (singlespeed) he didnt realise there was a cat for it, he hurt after.

Just regarding the new trail edging. – how do you overtake on this course. As on the oktoberfest it was very difficult with ‘SLOW’ people not letting people through.

/freeridenick – thanks for the route suggestestion – I’ve done the walk from the aiguille du midi mid station to the le montenvers de glacé before which would be a good ride. However can I ride up to the montenvers instead of using the tram. Like I said ‘proper xc’ I want a long route.

Any other suggestions would be very welcomed.

My favorite tyre at the moment. On a 26″ 2.25 up front and 2.1 rear.
    All running tubless.

From a program I watched about the history and the making of Saving P Ryan. They did not use ‘those landing craft’ they used a British variant which didn’t have stupid door and were armoured to the teeth.

Also yes bullets dont travel through water and would not kill anyone. Many unfortunately drowned though 🙁

Edit – ok so a little wrong, they did have front doors but were still armed to the teeth compared to how the film depicted.
