Its the SRAM Carbon S-2200 Crank with a custom 34t ring. The SRAM cranks have removable spiders.

They have to be custom as its 120BCD and cant get the spares…

I’m sure the OP asked for 1×10? therefore I’m guessing he wanted to see 2011 bikes with the modification not older bikes.

Plus 160 is NOT like 120(ish)

I’ve seen a ‘fastest time around Cwmcarn’ thread crop up a few times on here and am always interested as to why its only asked about that particular trail, and not others such as the Wall at Afan?

umm this more more me trying to ascertain what bikes people were using for ‘fast’ laps.

The Twrch Trail is the trail I do most in Wales. I normally do Afan for fun and not full out speed.

Currently I’ve got Rocket Ron on the front and Racing Ralph on the rear.
Seems to work very well. I love the grip of the Ron.

Flow – Im guess your Flowmtb, HI stayed with you guys last and this year – Superb DH! 🙂 but I would hesitate to keep 1×10 if in the Alps doing XC. But for the south trails, Wales and a few races I do I hope its perfect. Ive only done 1 ride so only time will tell.

One of the main reasons why I did this is because cost. new chainrings for an XO chainset is just Ridiculous and didnt want to downgrade another component. The crank is stupid light.

2nd reason I want stronger legs, although im sure a 11/36 cassette will help.

SRAM chainsets has a weird BCD of 120bcd and couldnt get any rings for it.
Now please dont post a link up or I WILL CRY.

re reading your post – Yes I could of got a 120bcd from the same site but liked the look for the full ring without the spider.

umm it may of to be honest, It was last year. Have you ever ridden an Evo? what do you think of it. Although im using it as a bike for all dutys, trail, and racing. Obviously not 100% suited to that but its still fun.

Manged a 12 hour enduro which was a blast.

ahwiles – bash ring? I had never bent my 39T that it replaced. so no need for a 34t. and yes Njee the X0 has a removable spider. http://www.homebrewedcomponents.com/ has a very good calculator to determin what I needed.

speaker2animals – Yep an Epic evo, Ive replaced the Command post with a Thomson, command post is in garage doing not alot. I changed it due to the weight. Plus a few other bits. Gold handle bar are a BIT much. Crashed with carbon bars and these has to replace.

mafiafish – 32×36 – super spinny – im sure you cant get much speed with that.

Njee20 – No it came with a SLX 11-34 but replaced it with a XT so to have the Alu SPider not rip sheds in to the freehub. AND thanks for ‘your’ help with advice with 1×10.

On my first ride I got to 30mph down a road. heh why would I want to go faster on a mtb bike? road bike is for road….

    32-42t E-Type/SRAM S3

Its for the DMD mech brackets that the Specialized use.

Nappy rash – You get it on mtb when you’ve raced for 11 hours.
Its not the saddle its the amount of time your in the saddle. Chamois cream will fix the problem.

Your not being an idiot, SRAM are rubbish and havn’t released them seperatly. Only the spider which is about £100.

I had to go here, still waiting.

I had control AL’s and seem ‘alright’ light but mega flimsy rims. Trued about half dozen times each. Nipples won’t take any more. Might rebuild with ztr crests when the time comes. All rear hub bearings shot after 8 months ofheavy riding. Probably expected though.

Hopes look like the best option. Ruscle, on your rovals how did you undo the nut on the non drive side (rear)?

There seems to be some noise coming from the hub, ive taken the freehub off and cleaned it but the noise still persists.

the only side I havnt stripped is the non drive side.
