He’s back. As someone said, he seems to think he’s managed to move the product to a new company with the same name. Noticed a new Rich Energy Limited appeared on Companies House a couple of days ago. The old Rich Energy operations mgr is named as director?

It is strange, usually using a firm like BDG Group means you can distance yourself as much as poss from the old firm and product, minimise the bad rep of a failing company. Here he’s taken the product and all the PR nonsense with him?

“Rich Energy Racing” is Storey’s new vehicle to carry on where he left off in the belief that he’s now off the hook.

If that’s the case, though, what about the Haas sponsorship (which is LV). Being wound up too I guess.

There are two companies, Rich Energy Racing, who say they are in the business of ‘Other sports activities’ and Lightning Volt (was Rich Energy), which is the drinks business. Red Bull have a similar approach, the drinks business and the racing business, that run the F1 team etc. Guess Storey had similar plans, and is still active director of the Racing bit.

Note the company name doesn’t need to be the same as the product – I’d imagine the drink will still be called Rich Energy so that won’t change.

And yes, it does give the impression Storey is still tweeting – but perhaps that was a style LV are now continuing with??

The 3rd party appears to be an insolvency company 😂

Yeah, looking at the new director and BDG Group they seem to specialise in winding up companies. Part of their process is to immediately change the name, wonder why?

‘We will acquire your company and you can resign and let us handle everything from that point on. Our team of lawyers, accountants and specialist negotiators will deal with everything, from preparing financial reports and negotiating with your creditors, to attending any necessary insolvency meetings.’

I noticed they dropped the reference to BDG Group in what’s recorded with Companies House.

Looks like someone has had a word with the Rich Energy CEO and explained what a repudiatory breach actually is…

Just to disavow people of lies from @HaasF1Team please see below. @rich_energy terminated the agreement as we said. The team have accepted contrary to their public denial.

That letter states Rich Energy are in breach here (wanting to terminate despite being contracted for 3 years). Haas has chosen to terminate as a repudiatory breach (they could continue to try and work to the contract, their choice). Haas can, therefore, recover those damages. Haas do need to be careful, saying Rich Energy is still our sponsors, could be construed as affirming the contract.

Completely opinion obviously but, given the money involved in f1, wouldn’t you expect hass to be using a slightly more established firm than one that’s only been about for 18 months…

Mr. Courtenay-Stamp seems v. experienced though. Has previously been involved with Stewart and Jag F1 (who became Red Bull!) if it’s the same chap.

Out of interest, how does a CEO who is majority shareholder get fired then?

Gets worse, there are now legal letters appearing on Twitter. Still Storey I assume??

Notice a new logo has been submitted to the IPO. Different enough you reckon?

I wonder if Netflix’s camera teams are still following him around…

They were trying hard to get all the teams to agree to be in season 2, not sure if they’re filming at the mo.

I picked up a brand x at trade. Yes yes LOADS OF play from all angles and rotation

Is this accepted with droppers? A recent convert, got a Reverb on a new bike that now has lateral play and a bit of squish. Put a Brand-X on the other bike, which now has loads of play. Enough that you feel it moving when climbing seated.

Got to be early front suspension for me. RS Judys were the first forks we all put onto our rigid hardtails. My old XCs are still sat in the shed, as are the Kona P2s I took off :)

Somebody recognised that store on Twitter, the new ‘chain’ is a convenience store in Elkhart, Indiana. Loving the camera work, ‘quick, film it before they notice’.

Just had some work done on mine, had it on diagnostics for the first time. Loads of standing alarms in there, all historical according to the expert so ignore. He reckons straight off the production line they have alarms.

I’ve set one of those Netgears up for someone – don’t think an Ethernet cable will help. From memory you turn the extender on, then use a laptop to connect to its own NETGEAR_EXT WiFi network and configure from there using its own config webpage. Should work with any WiFi router?

There are other options of course – how much of your house is getting coverage from the ISP router?

Did my solstice ride a day early, planning to put my feet up this eve. Lovely, didn’t need the lights until after ten. Was up with the dog to see the sunrise this morning.

Don’t give a FF what happens to Rich really, just hoping Whyte isn’t disadvantaged or end up out of pocket.

Channels are grouped, so you can get a set of channels working, others not.

    https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/multiplexes

On your digibox, under settings somewhere will be a signal quality option that shows signal strength and quality. Pick a channel that works and take a look, then one that doesn’t and compare.

Aerial might have moved in the wind, the transmitter might be doing maintenance, water in a connector from all the rain etc.

Used to come across them quite a bit in the woods just off the Ridgeway (which is restricted, no motorised vehicles). Not even officially footpaths in there, but landowner tolerated walkers and cycling.

Challenged a bunch when they ripped through one sunny Sunday with lots of kids and dogs around – didn’t even ease up. I was stood at the exit. Gave me lots of mouth, got MOTs so all legal etc. Landowner banned all access soon after, so spoilt it for everyone.

Just caught up with recent Rich Energy tweets. What a mess. Liking some of the memes :)

So Rich is now going on about they’ve now trademarked the logo, so Whyte is going to lose it. But AFAIK trademarks only apply in a particular market, so unless Whyte is making energy drinks, what trademarks Rich hold is irrelevant to Whyte?

Also, logos (unless very elaborate) are rarely copyrighted, but common sense applies. Why would you want your company emblem to look like anybody elses? Until this all kicked off, I thought Haas had a cool retro JPS thing going on, and was pleased Whyte had their logo on the car. Their energy drink didn’t cross my mind.

Cheap DHB bibs under various Endura shorts here too. Dunno why I didn’t try earlier, much more comfortable than thin liners with those annoying fasteners that never seem to stay up.

One thing, bit of vigilance needed as working dogs (and ‘designer’ breeds) are attractive to thieves. I try and keep tabs on ours at all times. Some good friends had their working cocker taken from their garden. Police not that helpful, he worked out where he was on the grapevine, confronted the family and got him back – was in a cage in the back garden.

Cracking dogs. Love ours, she’s my shadow, goes everywhere with me (other than biking). IME (as above) actually quite flexible with exercise, but sounds like you have that covered anyway. We go on all day walks, but also have rainy days where we don’t get out much. Keeping them stimulated with stuff to experience/do seems more important. We have a few (working cockers) in the family, one is walked long distances by my folks religiously 3 times a day and they struggle to keep weight on her.

Insurance a good shout, as they do tend to get into scrapes when out. All that rushing about. Undocked, but TBH wish she was as the end of her tail is frequently bleeding and always scabbed.

Springer vs. Cocker? I def find a working cocker has a bit more common sense. Previous Springers has jumped through first-floor windows, seem to suffer more with separation anxiety etc. Cockers seem a bit more grounded.

One thing is she’s very prey driven (birds). We’ve just about got her behaving around the chickens and ducks, but always after birds in the hedges/gardens.

Overall leader Marianne Vos crashed out of the Tour mid-stage after a peloton crash near Didcot. The former world champion needed treatment after sustaining cuts on her face.

Her team released a statement, it said: “The speed went up in preparation for the second intermediate sprint.

“There was a fall before me, due to a dent in the road, which I could not avoid.

“I fell hard on my head and, apart from a cut and some scratches, I don’t have any other injuries. Yet I went to the hospital because the cut had to be stitched.

“Very unfortunate, I was quite upset by it, because I was in such a good position. But even after a fall, the race continues, but this time without me.”

There was def an imperfection in the road surface when I watched it last night that coincided with the front wheel wobble starting. They repeated it a few times. A rider they interviewed afterwards said it was too. Maybe not the council definition of a pothole, yes, which shows how useless that measure is. Real shame.

We don’t have any potholes outside our house, either…

Does work insist on any device management on your phone? If so you might find it restricts what you can do for personal. Other than that, Android and dual SIM work well, I have my old Three unlimited data SIM plus an O2 PAYG in a OnePlus.

Trees, the wind has moved the aerial or water in the connectors?

Ours is pretty poor, churchyard Yew tree right behind us is now blocking the signal, worse if it’s wet and windy.

Also try image stacking, makes a big difference ove simple long exposures.

Also on my list of things to try. My understanding is you set yourself up, take images before dark of foreground, mid-distance etc, then combine with the astro shots?

Cheers for the link, very useful. Shows the Milky Way is best at 2-3am.

We’re pretty dark here, rural, no streetlamps, so pitch dark and to the South is just the Ridgeway and hills. It is amazing though, how much light is in the sky with these long exposure times (and how much detail the camera picks up).

Just had a tip to use http://www.photopills.com, which has some impressive AR apps for the phone that shows you what’s in the sky on different dates/times.

Does vary. I’ve had to pay labour on warranty work, postage (but no labour) and nothing at all on a cracked frame, bike was stripped and rebuilt at no cost to me. RIP Farnham Cycles. They were ace.

Agreed. Hear it on the traffic news quite a bit, ‘hold up due to rubber-neckers’. Delay is caused by the accident and people braking to avoid whatever initially happened (including the folks on the other carriageway). IME people aren’t slowing from 70 to a crawl to take a pic. Driving past a World Heritage Site accepted of course.

Take a look at https://www.powercut105.com/ for future ref. Scottish & Southern are our Network Operator, and they have a useful outage phone app where you can check for, report and track faults.
