i think i’m outnumbered! no other golfers on here?

as an aside- even if you dont enjoy playing golf, is the ryder cup still not very exciting to watch?

ton- you clearly aren’t a golfer then 🙂 you are miles off with the working class comment as well; it is played by middle class people trying to be above themselves- but mainly its played by people who enjoy it!

its quality, and you lot obviously don’t know what you are talking about!
I dont know why golf gets so much grief from people who don’t even play the sport- go slag off curling or something. 😀

watch those red lock-nuts. easy to snap the damping shaft when undoing the top cap!

section 13 is really smooth so no need for much travel. you would be faster on a hardtail! some of the rooty bits on the black route you would be faster on a full suss. both have their pros and cons….

however maybe think along the lines of a longish travel hardtail, or a lighter shorter travel full suss. the enduro is a pretty beefy bike in comparison to many.

Oh and dyslexic, its about 3 quid to park for the day at the trail head from memory. at the DH place its about 6 quid for parking and use of the tracks.

The thing is there shouldn’t be any need to spam the users email with pointless messages repeating what has already been written in the thread. Im voting stw labour next time so we get policing similar to avforums 🙂

bearings sit inside the headtube rather that outside. basically the internal diameter of your headtube will be too wide to fit a headset like you have pictured.

there are decent semi-integrated headsets on the market if you want to buy a new one though.

you probably cant as the headset will be integrated or semi-integrated by the sounds of it.

start em around 220 and work downwards every couple of days. you would get a quick sale in the 175 region. i reckon they would sell at 220 if you advertised for long enough. but you would get 200 i think without too much waiting around.

    EDIT- those are 2011 forks!!!

do they say race or team on the arch? do they have a maxle or QR, MoCo or BlackBox damping? Dual air or coil??

Answering all of those will help put a price on them!

I’m also very interested in this thread. i’ve currently got vittoria zaffiro tyres on my bike (they came with it) and i’ve recently started having some high speed fishtailing incidents when going round corners on damp road surfaces- is this rider error or down to the fact the tyres are completely devoid of any tread?

I’ve also just noticed they weigh 340g, is this a lot for a road tyre?

    (sorry for the little hijack)

MP- you can get shims from CRC. Alternatively i’ve got one of the USE thermoplastic ones 27.2-30.0 you can have for a few quid.

do it yourself, seriously. nothing to it.

manual and instructions are on the SRAM website here: http://www.sram.com/_media/pdf/rockshox/dealers/TM_MY10.pdf

sounds like you are on the right track. it will be some o-ring that has popped somewhere. you might be able to fix them by taking them apart yourself and then refitting everything.

offroad use! i certainly wouldn’t be strapping an expensive phone to my bars for that- you are just asking for it to get smashed in a fall.

My mate has one made by Dahon for his road bike and it works a treat though!

Are you likely to need the money in the (next few years) near future?

I might be needing it when i graduate next july (travelling funds 😀 ), so don’t really want to lock it away in a bond or similar.

spend it quick before the banks steal it!

anyone want to sell me an ibis of some description???

    cheers for the replies guys!

20.2lb is on the chunky side for a road bike but on yours I think it's a sort of sum of the parts rather than any one component in particular

this is what i had wondered about. it looks like the best plan might be just to save for a new one as eventually i would have replaced all of the parts to make it a little lighter.

As far as the comment about gears goes- im perfectly happy with the ratios, and quite often use the smallest gears going up hills (its pretty hilly around here). does that make me a girl??

However, those planet x wheels look like a good purchase. when they come back in stock i might get some as the difference between selling the fulcrum7's and those would be minimal i reckon.
