oh, and it wont be a balance transfer either so ur gonna get stung for credit card interest which will be worse than overdraft interest most likely

yes if you take out cash from a cash point and then deposit it in the bank – gonna cost you a fair bit though…

good point – in that case i think ill just do it myself and post it up here. cant really think of any other way of doing it, and if people aren’t happy then ill send their money back to them – beforehand only obviously

not yet no – i was trying to figure out if there was a way of doing it using the lottery numbers, however i dont think it works. might ask a mod to do it using a random number generator and then post the result up here – i figure if i do it myself people would probably complain

go on then, 100 tickets seems like a realistic target.

£1 each, buy as many as you like – email me at jammy111(at)gmail(dot)com and ill let you know my paypal (dont really want to post it on here).

dont really know what you man by a ‘live’ draw but if you let me know how, ill do it

i’m not sure of the easiest way either – I was thinking of £1 per ticket then either after a week or so pick a winner out of the total amount that are sold or say there are e.g. 100 tickets then once all are sold pick a winner.

i think easiest way to sort the money out would be to paypal it to me then I can hand it across through work, or i could set up one of those just giving pages maybe?

    sound reasonable???
    (im open to suggestions though)

so your paying 1.5% on the loan and a decent savings account can get you over 3% interest on your savings. correct me if im wrong but you are making money on the loan, why would you want to repay it?

cheers folks, appears i’ve done the right thing then. just sent this to buyer 1:

    Hi XXX,

If I can direct you to this thread it will explain what has happened: http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/classifieds-dilemma-o

Im sorry about what has happened, but I’m going to stick with selling to the other buyer. I don’t think its fair either for you to ‘outbid’ the other buyer, as this isn’t really in the spirit of the classifieds. I am also sorry for the white lie telling you that I had decided to keep them instead of selling.

As one of the members has suggested if you put up a ‘wanted’ add you will probably be able to source another set very soon.

    Regards,
    James

one thing i have seen is monthly cycle cover from http://www.eandl.co.uk which also covers abroad use. you should be able to cancel this after a month so should work well. i’m gonna give them a phone tomorrow and find out how the value a bike with no receipts and the like.

the sandybridge cpus are significantly better than the previous generation intel stuff so go with that if you can afford it. If you let us know what you will be using the computer for it would be easier to recommend you a cpu. remember there is amd stuff as well…
