I always think, I have to have my life disrupted with this idiot, but it is only for a few seconds, whereas that idiot has to live with themselves every second of every hour of every day. Then I go from being annoyed too having a little smirk to myself and being over it

I don’t understand why people effectively offer free advertising. My favourite jersey has no logos and is just plain white with a subtle splash of colour with thin rainbow stripes on the chest

I had bad one about 5 years ago, and did the other side just 3 months ago abet pretty minor. All I could/can do was cycle (not running or footy) so I did/do. But XC, CX or road because an emergency dismount on anything slightly gnarly would risk twisting my back, which would be bad

I’m Scotland so the NHS here is a totally separate organisation. However, it is very difficult to negotiate salaries outwith the middle- / senior management posts, and new post tend to start at the bottom of the band.
But even anywhere on B5 scale does seem low – I actually would have expected a B6 as a minimum for a post where a Masters was a preferable requirement for the post

I buy castelli, sportful, rapha, etc, as i like nice roadie clothes when spending hours in the same position, but there is deminishing returns the more one spends. If I was looking at your price range, decathlon, but the 520 or 700 stuff, not the 500 or lower stuff. The higher end decathlon has features like seamless straps or laser cut thigh grippers

Pencaitland railway path for quiet and very gentle. Look at the East Lothian Rough Stuff audax, which uses it for part of the route. Not rough, suitable for a gravel bike

I stayed at Cambrils Park Sports Village for a road cycling holiday earlier in the year. It is geared up for road more than off-road. The road cycling is amazing around there…

Mollydoo were the agent we went through, who do MTB there too. Maybe google can come up with their off-road routes

4 days self-supported, but I added on the better bits skirting the West coast (such as Baelach na Baand and Inverpolly) and returned down the middle from Tongue rather than the rubbish-for-cyclists North-East and East coast

Seemed fine when I did NC500 earlier this year too. Carbon frame and carbon seatpost with the large Apidura saddle pack

I look out onto there. Pretty brazen. They’ll certainly be coming over from Dalry via the canal

A pal’s GF reportedly said she prefers doing BJs on him when he is freshly trimmed. So, of course, he makes every effort to ensure he is box fresh

I helped with ground clearance at the new pump track in Edinburgh. Best results were long handle snips to get in at the base and then whack with a sturdy rake

I’ve remembered another, which is surely my favourite. About 8 yo watching my Dad complete a 10k run, smashing himself to get a good time, stopping in front of the crowd around 100m from the finish line, do a massive spew, then carry on to finish

Beckham’s free kick. I ripped the arse out of my trousers jumping to cheer. In a pub in Scotland full of Scots that had a great, great, great grandfather who once had a week’s holiday in Corfu

Why not? Do you want him to do well in the interview and so what if that requires notes? Or are you using the interview to try to trip him up? Hope the former. One wouldn’t expect him to use notes throughout his job, of course, but this wasn’t him doing the job, this was an interview, two different things

Each underwear’s back has a drawstring and this you can pull up your underwear so easily with one hand if you are cycling.

I didn’t size up, and am keeping the usual size I have. I have the same size in whatever brand I buy

Hot socks – wear them OVER your socks to minimise the clammyness

I have Northwave GTX in SPD flavour, and last month also bought them in SPD-SL flavour too. They seem to have a reasonably sized toe box to fit an additional pair of socks or inner sole for more warmth

I recently sold a frame because I have no room so of course I’ve just bought another complete bike (and the frame isn’t actually out of the door yet)

I’ve done it a few times. One could easily manage with a simple follow-a-line GPS. It isn’t a route I’d want to navigate with maps – you’d be forever stopping to consult them as the route is a collection of routes linked in sometime not obvious ways

take off the chainrings and front mech/shifter, buy a narrow/wide ring and thinner chainring bolts, shorten the chain. No huge need for a new, clutch rear mech if you don’t have one already

I both downloaded html and took a screen grab when I bought a bike from DFS. Turned out to be prudent when the bike arrived lower than spec

I was a big fan of the old series but really struggled with the new stuff from episode 3 – the doppelganger tree was the tipping point. Ive the remaining episodes backed up ready for a binge watch if I can face getting back in to the following episode

my guess as to what will happen, could be entirely wrong tho: boss gets him to work all the hours he can for the rest of the week, don’t pay / underpay him for this week “because you damaged the van”.

if he doesn’t have a contract, why isn’t he just walking away now? (Assuming he hasn’t worked there long(?).)

Who told you the bike isn’t good enough? From this review it seems perfect for enduro, but you might just need a small hardtail for specifically jumping

Unlike Force, the Rival shifter has two cable exit routes – one like above, exiting diagonally. This caused stickiness issues for me. The second exits in line with the bar, which removed the skickyness issue

I’ve the Road version and off-road version of these NWs. They are slightly bigger than any other brand I’ve owned, but I use 2 insoles, which works out fine for fit and extra winter warmth

I now remember, importantly, I also removed a cable-end ferule from where the cable exits the shifter. The ferule was causing friction
