made individual, portion-sized cheesecakes for xmas. Just google no-bake cheesecake. Piece of p1ss to make. Digestive and ginger biscuit and butter base. Cream cheese whipped with icing sugar, vallia and a splash of booze – I used amaretto, triple sec, coffee liquor or raspberry liquor

I used this recipe but did a remix with added booze and ginger biscuits

Must. Resist. Buying. …click oops. With the CRC £10 off £75 I figure these only cost £20. Bonus

Just seconds ago I bought these from CRC, which are only £5 if one buys three. The tinternet suggests that they are pretty good for a fiver. NB: 3/32

I got some SS stuff for xmas and I’m now on a mission to convert

I’ve just had a little look-see on moneysavingexpert threads after seeing this white vinegar tip. Gonna try it tonight – I’ve a grim HH top that smells of raw onions even when ‘clean’

What about a seat-post mounted rack, bolted onto a cheap seatpost with a cheap saddle on the top? Just change the whole seat arrangement, depending on what you’re doing. Its what I do with my tag-along (and didn’t want to clamp it to my Gravity Dropper)

I use a seatpost mounted one for bike packing. It works perfectly fine. No issues with rattling around when off-road, so you’ll be fine

I plan to do it next May or so, once the weather is OK

Did we talk about this already? When you going to Jasna and who you staying with?
    Have you been before?

Me and a mate are going last week in Feb. looking forward to it.
Yes mate. I emailed you last year when you were planning your first trip. I’ll be there March.

There’s another big new lift this year, opening the whole other side of the mountain! The area will almost double. Only ever managed to get over the other side twice before because the one access lift would never be on

I have three helmets. I only wear the third I bought cos I hate the first two. They are like boots – make sure they fit and you get on with them, same as a cycle helmet really. Then buy the goggles as some will fit that particular helmet better.

The basic amber lenses are fine for most conditions. The fancy mirrored etc lenses are more expensive and typically most suitable at the extremes such as very bright or very flat light. If I recall correctly, pink lenses are also ok for most conditions but with a slight lean to flatter light than amber(?). I tend to go with pink.

I only know about snowboard brands, which might matter to you, but Electric and Anon do have models that come with two lenses for similar money as those that have only one.

edit: I have two trips this year: Tinges, France and Jasna, Slovakia. Yay

The rear ones with the 2 leds are very bright, bright as the same looking smart lights. Well worth the money. Although build quality isn’t as good, but the difference in price means one can buy a few

I’ve never understood having starters at xmas – it would use up value stomach space for roast potatoes

These from on-one are excellent for the money (currently £2.50 plus postage) and just as bright as my Smart one

This month I went about 10 days without a drink as I was ‘training’ for the Tough Mudder.

That is the longest I have ever been without a drink since about 16-17 years old (now 38).

Although when I say I went 10 days without a drink, that doesn’t include the one evening when I had 4 bottles of Desperados and a big Leffe Brun

Remove the anodising with Oven Pride to take it down to silver?

Power tools will be difficult to control. Draw a pencil line so you know what to remove and just use either a mid/fine blade hand saw or a rasp plane thingy

Just to clarify, this setup would be a temp solution using the existing components and cheap bars in order to determine if i could get on with a drop bar set up (never ridden a road bike) and then determine what parts minimally i would need to change, or if drop bars were possible at all (i was guessing that it was possible on the scourer, and it sounds like it is)

Edit: so, if the suggestion is just to buy drop bars then that’s what I’ll do, but the world of road bike components is new to me

Someone at work did it last week, inside. The mist covered the whole room = new kitchen flooring required afterwards

No idea if it is any good but this got a good review and would be only £200 with the current discount

dont think so. I recall a spate reported on here of on-one merino wool tops being shrunk, which didn’t end well

Yes, done. You need to root it (see youtube for walkthroughs) and an OTG (On The Go) cable (like the one you linked to, but ebay has cheaper ones). Then the memory card will show up like any other drive – suggest getting a file manager app such as ‘astro’ to find it tho similar to windows explorer.
