Does anyone know if that new book is any good, The Offical Dambusters Expirience?

I am from near Derwent/Chatsworth and my Granddad is keen on this stuff

I’d always go for one of the Swchalbe with puncture protection. City Jet are cheap, never seem to wear out, never had a puncture. IMHO all that is worth a small amount of extra weight

I quick google shows my memory was correct. Originally 68 but later 73. Here and here (german)

mine is 73 with a spacer on the drive side.

I originally had spacer problems and contacted Ragley way back when. Seemingly, the early model had one size BB and the later, more common model had the other (I forget which way round it was but I think I had the latter, which is 73, and the earlier one was 68).

After my contact, they corrected the spec list, but the correct spec list is now lost since the frame isn’t made ie dont trust any specs you find online as they won’t necessarily be correct.

Rubber-rapped P-clips off ebay. Zip ties will break loose after a while, with potentially nasty consequenses

cfinnimore – where do you go that is near the city? I’ve changed workplace to now in the city centre, which is only 5 mins from where I live, so I am missing going home ‘the long way’

    17. The government should set national targets to increase cycle use from less than 2% of journeys in 2011, to 10% of all journeys in 2025, and 25% by 2050

Working for Scottish Government on setting and monitoring (NHS) targets, I know that targets aren’t typically set unless they are measureable, which I am not sure this is

Camando if fine in short measures. forgetting one’s trousers when cycling to work is particularly vexing – the only choice is to triple one’s journey going to collect them. A day at work in cycling shorts ISN’T an option

Available in Black from CRC. These are the correct ones – the reviews indicate they have been used on single speeds

Not CRC or black, but Charlie The Bikemonger does the short ones for single chainrings for only a fiver

Right – time to hit Wiggle and get ordering.

I bought mine from Spa Cycles, which were cheapest at that time

Someone did post a decent-looking homemade device using part of a pen and other stuff. I can’t mind what you could search for but think it was on a thread discussing Paul’s Chain Device (or whatever it is called)

What’s the collective wisdom on storing bikes vertically, with both wheels against a wall, using something like this
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mobile/MobileModels.aspx?ModelID=44984

Will this affect front and rear shocks at all?
on-one do a single hook for £5, which I have two of. I’ll need to wait until I am finished work to dig out a photobucket pic

It is a real shame that the bike lane couldn’t have been incorporated into the tram works. Even as a confident and experienced city centre commuter, being penned in by the buses on Princes St is now quite an experience, particularly when a tram rail suddenly appears parallel to one’s wheel.

The bar on George St during the festival was good though

I did it last year, playing footy and was tackled onto the side of my knee and my studs dug in. Didn’t fully tear right through and didn’t require crutches.

Had physio where he found the damage / lump of scar tissue and vigorously rubbed it, which was just on the threshold of pain but also felt strangely good, and made sweat pour off me. Back playing again in 5-6 weeks.

Your prognosis is difficult to compare – dunno how serious it is relatively, dunno what grade 2 means, but MCLs aren’t typically anywhere as bad as ACL

I’ve not yet investigated this and was slightly confused what you are asking, but does the Mighty Text app do what you need?
