Superstar Components’ version of the plastic Nukeproof Electron are only £25. I have both and are ok although I would like slightly longer pins

Last year they only gave out the map on the morning of the ride. And it was paper, no gpx

I like Khushi’s because it is tasty but cheap and free byob (note, doesn’t serve alcohol)

    I’m CM/SB front/rear.

I recall that some on here were running CM backwards on the rear

Used to use a Airlok Xtra which was fantastic for the money but one would occasionally have to re-do the straps as the contents shifted and it was always much harded to repack in the field.

Now have an Apidura pack – much easier to fit/remove/repack in the field. And massive capacity. Wieghed up that vs Alpkit and Wildcat and it seemed best bang for buck

Yes, add a piece of innertube or they may eat away the paint

I like the Castelli Squadra Long jacket. Suitable for road and mtb. At the better end of water resistant. £40 although it does appear for about £28-30. Not very breathable, but it wouldn’t be at that price

What are you using it for? Ive a tent, tarp-tent, big tarp, little tarp. Each gets used for a slightly different purpose

Not huge help but could help you whittle it down. 5’8, 31in leg = 51in for me

I’ve probably 12 pairs of socks and they are still fine. The base layers, however, got a load of holes in after only a wash. Utter shite

Aside from riding the 25 miles each way there and back or putting the bike in a bike bag (dunno if they allow such a large bag), the BikeBus is the only option. I think they are on facebook too if you needed to check them out now

An exchange because you bought the wrong size is not covered by your Rights. But they may still exchange it as a good will offer

One can’t select sizes that are out of stock

    As above.
Certainly waterproof. Certainly worth it at that price. It is pretty thick and so you’ll be wet from sweat unless it is really chilly out. ‘Slim fit’ but not ‘Italian fit’, absolutely not ‘commuter fit’.

corydoras shouldnt be kept in just twos! At least six. They aren’t ‘typical’ catfish but are a shoaling species

edit: do more research before anything else

Guppies wouldnt be my choice! The males are the colourful ones and so might be prefered.
If you have one male / two female then you’ll soon have 100 guppies.
If you have two male / one female then you’ll soon have 100 guppies and a very stressed female.
If you have three males then they will all fight.

Small Tetras of some description would be better. Single species, at least six.

Please cycle the tank properly before adding fish, which will take around a month. If you don’t know what this means then please don’t do anything else before reading up on this

I still have my suspicions that some of those using drop bars off road are only doing it for the niche factor and would in fact be better off with short flat bars, bar ends and aero bars

What do you mean by “better”? A big reason for me getting a drop bar cx bike this year (first time I’ve rode drops) was it turned trails that would be tame/dull on a HT into trials that are challenging sketchy fun. That = better for me

Went from a road ride which turned into a CX ride with some wrong tyre fun. Happy days

I ride mostly on the drops. Racier position for putting the power down and also feeling more stable when it is rough

No, that is just a small pressure-release value. Drink by unscrewing the big lid

Maybe not exactly what you were expecting, Lifeventure Thermal Mug. More of a mini flask than a mug with a lid. I prefer it is it has more uses because it can be tipped over

I have only had the PX and O-O thicky socks, which only come in s/m and l/xl; no experience of the SOS ones. I’m only size 7 (eur41) and the s/m PX/O-O fit me perfectly – you should probably go for the l/xl

There was an old thread on here probably a year ago with pictures showing how someone had done this. Afraid my memory is too hazy to recall what to search for though
