Yes. Also race cut, so tight across chest when stood up so that it fits well in riding position without big baggy sagging chest (the Jersey’s, not yours).

Agree – see how it fits while sat in the saddle rather than stood up.

Im small in Castelli like I am everything else

I am minded to that TV clip of a presenter, stood next to the urinal, commenting on the toilets at a festival. In the background a fella washed his hands in it while the presenter looked on in horror

I recall on a 80s family holiday in Spain my brother and I were briefed on not putting paper down the bog but into the little bin next to it.

My brother misunderstood = dropped his load in the bin rather than the bog

I’ve been veggie for over 25 years. I am always on the low side when tested when giving blood and it was too low to donate once last year. I ate more spinach and it was on the higher side when I returned 3 months later for another donation

I use the VBA that one finds at the top of googled links. Never not been able to break a password (v 2010) although sometimes it may take two goes for it to work

Yes, I don’t have a HRM and so guessed my effort. Those that did have one used that

I class I attended didn’t work according to ‘turns’ but according self-perceived effort, eg, increase 10%, drop back down to 75%, 90% for 2 minutes, which I think is preferable

Went for my first class just before xmas. Two 1-hour sessions. I was almost broken after 30 mins, but rallied, as I mis-estimated what my ‘75% effort’ was*. Most I’ve sweated in a 2-hour period. Dunno if it helps one’s riding but it helps one’s fitness.

    * a HRM would be very helpful.

Err, the question was about commuting not touring.

Serious question, why would one not wash it all after one day?

either starve or accept that almost everything you eat has fish sauce or fish stock in it

commute: budget brands, with reflective bits, that I don’t care if it gets oil-stained
mtb: slightly more expensive but I still won’t cry if brambles snag it
road: a spiralling list of very posh stuff to cover every minutiae of possible weather three times over

Day 18. Smashed my previous world record of 12 consecutive days without drink, the longest since I was about 17yo. Finding it easy. But I feel no fitter/better, was already skinny. Pointless, really

Go for 520 or 700 bibs as there is a good jump in quality of fit/materials over the 500

Just use Go Compare or similar, filter on the excess and cover level you want, then see what is suitable for what you need

I got into a dude/sweet/dude/sweet/dude/… loop the first time I encountered “mind” as an Englander:

Them: “Will you mind to X?
    Me: “No, I don’t mind doing X”

The other one that I notice – and see on here a lot – is to drop “to be” from sentences, e.g. “The car needs to be washed” is written/spoken as “The car needs washed.”

    yes!

Ive been up here 13 years and I use ‘stay’. One of the only few dozen words I have picked up (there are some good Scots words that are good alternatives or fill missing gaps) although kept all of my Nth Derbyshire/Sth Yorkshire accent. Ive on ever heard Stay here – Edinburgh, so not exactly deepest Scotland

But typically SL shoes are stiffer than SPD, hence less likelihood of a hot spot. Many SPD have ‘a piss poor filmsy sole’ by design – a trade-off between stiffness for optimum power transfer pedalling and flex for when off the pedals. Of course Sidi carbon are less likely to get hot spots, being relatively stiff compared to most SPD.

Edit: anyway, I commute in SPD because there is more unclipping/clipping and dashing away for the lights, which is easier in them

If it is Rapha, email them and they’ll refund the difference no questions.

I think that you have the choice of replacement or refund rather than repair if the purchase is recent – Google will give specifics, I don’t know off hand

It doesn’t. Vortex is just a basic mag trainer with the resistance knob controlled electronically.

Sure? It is an electro magnet brake.
