    26″, 27.5″ or 29″?

Alltricks have plenty of choice in 26″ and 29″.

I just got a set of 1.5″ 29er Rebas from them, boxed, shock pump, spare seals etc. Less than £280 including a new crown race, delivery and a cc charge for foreign currency transaction. Everything arrived in around 5 days.

They need to be either i-spec A or i-spec B.
AFAIK all new Shimano brakes are i-spec compatible but shifters you’ll need to buy specifically.
Its a really neat system and very discreet. unless you know what you are looking for on the brake mounts there really is nothing obtrusive to suggest you can mount a shifter to it!
Check out the diagram below, it might help you out.

Klunk, thats the exact CR I’ve got to fit so not keen and splitting it or hitting at 12, 3, 6 & 9 for fear of damaging the seal.
Will nip to B&Q for a length of 40mm pipe…if it doesn’t fit its only £2.97 down the pan!
    Cheers

Noticed on several occasions, mainly in part 2, that the plate was missing from the front of the porche.
Not the best special by a long shot but certainly not bad enough to stop me watching in future.

Ordering a starter at the local Indian resteraunt I ask “do you use white fish in your fish pakora?”
Table goes silent, waiter stares hard and oblivious to both I say “you know, like cod or haddock”…

Tell the letting agent to go through their flats buildings insurance.
Chances are that with the damage being minimal the insurers won’t bother pursuing you!

    Simplest and cleanest method:-
38 x 25mm battens screwed through the existing ceiling, 62.5mm K18 insulated plasterboard fixed to battens, tape and fill joints, emulsion, job done…you may want to assess the impact this will have on your existing ceiling height!

    Messy ballache of a method:-
Strip existing ceiling lining, insulate in between joists, 12.5mm plasterboard, tape and fill joints, emulsion, job done.

Id second a Parkwood, just as much fun as my old c456 on the downs but so so much better on the pedally uphill bits!
Get yourself along to PX shop in Edinburgh and try one out for size, I was told M would suit me but having tried a large I knew M would be a compromise.
Plus with a £1,300 budget you have enough to upgrade the bars and wheelset, I switched out for a carbon knucklebar and Flow Ex on pro2, keeps the bike at a reasonable 28lb’s

Daily Fail and Telegraph reporting that Button will partner Alonso next year.
Button definitely deserves another year at the top, here’s hoping Honda and McLaren give him something half decent.

Well this all sounds very promising.
One last question, do I need to get shorter chainring bolts or can I re-use the ones already in place?
Going to order some spacers with the 42t extender just in case.
    Cheers

IIRC someone once told me that the suppliers have to pay the stores a nominal fee for every hour that the green fruit / veg totes lay empty on the shelf thus effectively leaving it up to the suppliers to ensure that there is enough supply to cover the demand.
The conversation came about as a major supplier had just suffered a severe fire which disabled their plant and by far the cheapest way to get around this was to erect a massive marque and fill it with brand new state of the art packaging and processing equipment.

Crowns on the tread don’t. Made In Germany is always black chili, everything else isn’t. If they were cheap then they aren’t – I’ve never seen a black chili tyre at less than £30.

    I have £26.99 :-)

    Timpsons the shoe repair people.
Just got the power button repaired on my 4s, cost £29.99 and as a bonus the screen cable snapped when they opened it so they gave me a new screen for free :-)
All their work comes with a 12 month warranty too.

IIRC the newer WIFI stuff is tied down with your contract.
We’re on a 3 year old contract and get everything via WIFI whereas a girl in my office has just started with Sky and they want her to pay extra to get access to the box sets which we take for granted.

Second hand is a very good bet at the moment, lots of quality wheels on the cheap.

    Agreed…

***shameless plug*** Alternatively you could by my Mavic XM719 on Pro 2 hubs (blue) running tubeless with stans rim strips and On-one Smorgasboard tyres for £175 ***ends shameless plug***

I’m also around (or a bit over) the 16st mark and these have been bullet proof :-)

I got an email recently “News: 2 hours of free formal CPD in a couple of clicks”

Check back on your RICS emails, mine was dated 15th September.

Other than that they do a range of online courses that are either free or cheap(ish).

Lets hope “not under respiratory assistance” is confirmed and is a good sign.

Not quite sure why the race went ahead without a medical chopper on standby. I’m sure practice at spa has been delayed in previous years as a chopper has to be available!

It only seems to be a recent problem, since the advent of the supermarket petrol station!
Back when I were 17 you rolled up, picked a pump and took yer chances.
Thankfully our tesco has two lanes entering so bypassing the B’s is pretty easy :-)

    Can I second the Parkwood?
Mine is sitting popped up on the adjoining desk making the office look healthy.
Deore kit feels nice, reverb is still working and the geometry is spot on. Only things I’ve changed so far are the bars from the Ancho’s to Knuckleballs and the wheels for Pro2’s on Flow EX.

Use a handsaw, spend the difference between that and any number of the power tools recommended above on bike shit!
