On my O2 contract, if I go over my allowance they don’t charge you more, they just dramatically slow down the speed of the connection. I think, anyway.

Thats my understanding of o2 as well.

They also send you a text as your about to reach your limit and one when you go through it. Both times this happened to me they arrived at the same time…

Howdens do the same kitchens as branded Schrieber elsewhere. The pictures of ours in the Howdens catalogue was the same room set as the MFI brochure of the time – just a different image.

Howdens and MFI were owned by the same company IIRC.

That said, I would have a Howdens kitchen….but would never have entertained an MFI kitchen!

Looks like they are still replacing 3gs’s.

Have a look for a crack in the case by the charger port. Its a known fault and you may be able to argue for a free replacement!

I just took a 25 month old, 32gb 4 back to Braehead as there was a hardware problem with the mic.

Told the guy the issue, said I realised it was out of warrant and I’d be happy to pay my £119 for and out of warranty replacement.

The ‘genius’ agreed, put my phones details in the computer and handed me a new phone…a new 16 gb 4s with no charge!

Walked out the store highly confused but happy. Started to piece things together on the way home and realised he had taken the serial number and IMEI number off the SIM tray rather then off the phone. The very sim tray that had been switched out of my 3 month old 4s in a split second decision when switching SIM’s only hours earlier :D

P.S. I did alert Apple to their mistake but so far they have not answer my email…so 3 month old 4s for sale in the near future.

I do like the 456, though it is quite a harsh rear.

I’ve just gone from a steel 456 to a c456 and the rear feels a lot less harsh. I sit through a fair amount of rough stuff and in my opinion the difference is night and day. My dodgy back has also stopped giving me Nearly as much gyp…

P.S. I am in no way a Dr and a c456 may or may not be responsible for easing back pain.

Wish I’d read this a few weeks back….went out the morning after devouring the wife’s homemade chilli wearing 4 socks, arrived home wearing 3 and with one in a freezer bag 8O

I got a set of Deore’s from Rose and they are just as good as my SLX (M665 I think).
Arrived within a week and took less than an hour to fit including swapping hoses. They also came with all the spares required for shortening the hoses.

The following may also be of benefit from an earlier post:

    Buy them from Rose.
Like Rose on Facebook and you can generate a £10 discount code.
If you have the luxury of time buy them separately, I ordered front and rear Deors, used the FB code and a few days after the arrived rose sent me another £10 off code as a welcome present…and that was on top of the free ‘backpack’ included with my order!

The kindle app is a joke – it seemed to purely be there for if you already had something downloaded, there was no option to obtain anything through it – I deleted it

Bit of a funny one the kindle app. To get new books on it you have to buy them via Amazon via safari browser and not the Amazon App. You then choose for it to be downloaded to your ipad and away you go.

I guess Apple didn’t want Kindle to challenge its own ibooks so sought to make the process a bit more of a faf..

Apple refurb or for brand new tesco via Topcashback.

I’ve been using CloudOn combined with drop box.
Allow you to create and edit MS office documents on the iPad or any other computer connected to the Internet.
Best of all it’s free and it works so you’ve no excuse for not trying it :-)

Newcastleton is a bit of a mobile black spot…surprised anything is getting out.
Last year we had to stand on our heads, stick a car aerial in an unnamed oraffice and face north by north west before we could get one bar on orange!

    1. Yes…100mm minimum
    2. Bed the edge blocks in mortar
    3. A whacker plate makes it a whole lot easier

The hard work is in the preparation, get your sand bed level (50mm) and laying the blocks should be a piece of piss…

I suspect it’s more to do with the clay tile on the roof, they are old and brittle and not as durable as natural slate or man made concrete.
At some point they will need replaced and they are expensive. IIRC they are hand cut and you need a lot per m2.

    Just to confuse the issue…

What do you guys do when you buy a new bike or new brakes?

Do you spend time bedding them in or do you just ride the bike?

I’m in the just ride the bike camp…whats the worst that can happen?

Me n the misses pondered over this for a while as our preferred travel system did not include an isofix car seat.

We questioned the sales person and without bigging up one over the other she explained that isofix essentially fixes the car seat to the chassis thus transferring all the bumps in the road directly to the seat in which you little one is strapped to whereas a seat secured with a seat belt allows a little more movement between the car and the seat therefor creating a slightly less harsh ride.

We went for the seat secured by the seatbelt and it’s been great…

Make the offer in writing, an agent can get away without taking a verbal offer to the bank but they are duty bound to take a written offer.

A local surveyors office in my area has a group of wives with an alleged healthy property portfolio as their husbands were holding back verbal offers…
