    From dcc website

In 2014-15, we must save £36.7m and at a meeting yesterday (Wednesday 5 February) councillors voted to:

Set our annual budget for 2014-15 at £515.5 million
generate £5 million by asking residents to pay an extra 1.99% in council tax.

And then generate a couple of hundred k on wasted trail maintenance

I think the descent from top of win hill to the gate and then down hope brink is fast and not overtly technical.
Also shatton is a good climb nice view and easy down either side

++ HH lifa got a New one after not owning one for a number of years, I’ve been sutprised at how well it regulates my temp

for merino I would recomend a blended fabric like rabs meco something that keeps you warm but also has some better wicking qualities

It’s a strange thing, riding on a morning in the peaks and I get hello’s all over the shop from rodies
Pan to a mid week night ride a couple of weeks ago, sheffield club ride in the opposite directon, we say hi then start to shout hi to all 50+ of them, not a single nod.

I’ve met a few recently strange obsessive folks

I skipped the Shatton climb for that reason + finishing a 40mile ride by riding down brough did not appeal.

    Extreme done in 4hrs 45mins.
Great weather, overall a good day out.
