Thanks – shame – it's not much more for the complete headset

Yeah could be an adaptor to allow you to use a Schraeder airline to inflate through the Presta valve?

IME the lockring should be just finger tight – much more than that and you can damage the O-ring – perhaps why the provide spares although I suppose they might perish over time as well

Not sure what the other bits are woodsman. As CZ says it's just the valve itself, the O-ring and the lockring.

As for sealant I've got away without it pretty well for a couple of years but I only run UST tyres, not ghetto or "tubeless ready". The only punctures I've had have been big slashes through the tyres from rocks which I don't imagine any sealant could cope with. Then again there aren't a lot of thorns in the Peak so it depends where you ride.

So who does make a tough but light UST tyre? Schwalbe certainly don't and it sounds like Conti don't either.

All the best Fitzy. Similar thing happened to me over 12 months ago and I never would have believed how good I would feel a year later. Two 8 year old daughters in the equation here but they live with me most of the time and that suits me down to the ground. Focus on yourself and your daughter – it will get better but it will take time – this is the low point for you now but the dark days will get less frequent as time goes on.

It's not just you Clink – I read the review this afternoon and I too think it's odd that the Ti456 wasn't included

Weber Q200 here Aus – it's great but not cheap – they do a smaller Q100 I think which runs off gas canisters or a BP bottle

Update – just ridden it from Glossop end – as far as Doctor's Gate Culvert – blokey in the hi-viz waved me through and shouted "enjoy" – there was a bit of heavy plant moving about but otherwise dead apart from a couple of roadies – due to re-open to cars this Friday
