15 year Glenfiddich 30 quid at Tesco

Possibly although I think that’s only true for 12 months plus paypal credit

I think the 4 months interest free applies to anything over £99

Interesting – Wiggle is saying it can’t be used to buy a bike using the 30 day test ride

I would think this was only true if you got the finance from Wiggle using V12

Interesting about Peter Hutchinson – my father in law knew him when they had the ME shop in Glossop

    Thanks all

It’s for my elderly father in law who back in the day was a top climber so has a leaning towards Rab/Mountain Equipment for nostalgic reasons

He doesn’t weigh a lot and circulation not great so warmth is the priority – but we are talking UK winters only

How can I tell if my Stooge is a Mk2 or a Mk3?

I’ve got this at the moment, what’s a better combo for winter?

I like the look of this. Has anyone seen one in the metal?

Don’t people who drink and drive worry about being caught? That is enough of a deterrent for me – lose licence, lose job, can’t pay mortgage, lose house, etc, etc

I went with a Wolftooth Roadlink and an 11-36 cassette with an Ultegra mech and it works well

Assume my mech is medium cage but it was just what came with the bike

52/36 up front but I would like to go single ring at some point – I think there are few people making narrow wide rings for Ultegra cranks

Seems to be a lot of bikes at £1000 with choice of either Apex 1x hydro or 105 2x hydro

Don’t bother with any lightweight Pertex outer stuff – it rips easier than tissue paper

Not really. I feel like I used to get a lot of headaches which stopped after I started on Ramipril. Hardly ever get them now. Bit I’m told headaches are not caused by high BP

Ramipril and amlodipine here for about 10 years. BP was similar to yours now tends to sit at around 125/85. They seem more concerned these days that the second figure is less than 90

Think I did get a bit of a dry cough to begin with but only for a week or two

Other than that no problems with the meds

Other than no ibuprofen/aspirin or grapefruit juice

According to Adrian Flux it is possible to get insurance with a US licence and no UK licence it’s just expensive to do so

The reason his UK licence has expired is that he hasn’t lived in the UK for well over 10 years (although he was born here and passed his test here) and he just never got around to renewing it – you also need a UK address I think which he hasn’t had until quite recently

But they recommended getting a UK licence anyway some time during the next 12 months. I can’t find anything that says you have to re-take the driving test if you’ve held a UK licence at some point in the past?

US licences are not exchangeable with UK ones

The bike I’m looking at is 2.6 but with room for 2.8

Thanks for your thoughts so far

Nope – it happens where I work to – people seem to think they sound more business-like/well-educated – far from it!

Agree with the comment about Tesla – saw them with DL at the NEC – one of only a few occasions I’ve seen where the support band eclipsed the main act

Car is for my dad who is fixed on the model but not the engine – all the reviews say that the best engine available for this car is a 1.6 diesel introduced in 2015. It also has a (9 speed) automatic box which suits my dad too

It’s a cash purchase, no finance involved, probably around £25K for something used about 1 year old

I suppose my main concern would be massive depreciation
