Also consider how much boot space do you need with all 3 rows of seats deployed

We had the old shape XC90 and with 6 people onboard we needed a roofbox to go on holiday for a week as the boot was too small

Not sure if this problem exists with MPVs

    thanks

my pedal strikes are mainly down to poor technique

will try more air first although think i’m already getting the recommended sag and it’s rare for me to bottom out the shock completely

    cranks are short already

What’s a good online shop for these?

I had a few Schumachers and Tamiyas back in the day but all my radio gear and batteries are out of date now

Yes I got a bargain ebike from them back in June I think it was – even then they didn’t have much left in stock

I’ve just got my first ebike
Early days but so far it’s mainly positive
I first started “riding off-road” (not mountain biking) about 30 years ago
For me it was more like hiking on wheels with a bit of adrenaline thrown in when going downhill
Age and injury has caught up with me but an ebike feels like I’ve gone back 30 years and rediscovered the things that first brought me to the sport
The two biggest surprises to me are that I now enjoy climbing again and any boring/dangerous road sections can be burned off in turbo mode to get to the more interesting off-road stuff as fast as possible
It also means I can ride further in less of my precious time and fit in some short 1-2 hour rides where previously I wouldn’t have bothered due to the time required to get to the interesting stuff

Does the Roccbox use the same gas bottle/connector as a gas bbq?

Could be – just something I heard on the grapevine – could be a load of carp

I also tried some bikes with the Shimano motor – was pretty good and can be customised via an app unlike Bosch – more drag at the speed limit with Shimano though – quite a whiney noise too but not unbearable

I actually preferred the Shimano 7000 to the 8000

Apparently a new Shimano motor out soon

Rumours are that v2 of the Whyte will be a 29er

I’ve got a Whyte arriving tomorrow (should have been today but looks like Parcelforce are busy) – managed to get 20% off list so not too bad

Tried one a few weeks ago and liked the way it handled – downsides are i’m expecting some pedal strikes to start with, cable routing around motor is poor but reckon i can fix that, and Bosch motor supposed to be noisy when freewheeling downhill on rocky stuff

Will be interested to see if the Bosch firmware update makes much difference

Yes I can do anything on the inside – needs to be cheap/temporary as the whole set of garages will be re-roofed in 2021

Are any of these bikes in stock anywhere in common sizes? A lot of them seem to be on pre-order for September when the 2021 models are out

OK thanks – so if you have no problems within 2 years the warranty just runs out?

    Hmm what a minefield

I’m now wondering if I should switch to a one box system with or without my existing speakers

I’m somehow drawn to still be able to play my CDs though not sure why if I’ve ripped them all they should really go into storage

    The Revo kit looks nice

Is it safe to sell a bike using ebay/paypal when it’s collection only? Can they claim they didn’t get the bike and try a charge back via paypal?
