@mark88 on the BNES insta post it mentioned the other organisers and WGES aren’t on there. looks to have been replaced by northerndownhill

@the-muffin-man ye i don’t fancy walking 20 minutes with all my stuff for a day at the beach with a 3 year old and a 5 year old.

the area doesn’t really matter. We are quite flexible and can travel to see our friends.

just seen PMBA have released their BNES round / date.

It would be good to have a central point for the BNES info.

Full points are up on roots and rain

“Peekay” I have a similar view to yourself. I’m also a mid pack master and attended 5 of the rounds. therefore finished with 5 points lol. I was so close to getting into the points at the final round finishing 41st.
as you also said I found each round to be great and it took me to new venues plus I meet a tonne of cool people throughout the year. It did take some planning and was hard to fit around a young family and work.
But I do think I will be back for 2020 with the aim to try and crack the top 40 and get some points against my name. (I hope they don’t change the points system to reduce who gets points lol).
Just read the dates will be out at the end of the month so I will do some planning with the wife and see how it fits in.
I see welsh gravity endure series WGES won’t be involved next year. that’s a real shame as I’ve always enjoyed their events.

I was out last night for a night ride and was riding some stuff away from the main trails but a trail had been purposely blocked by big sticks and also a small jump to get you over a log and been destroyed.
I cleared out the sticks and also kicked out a few of the puddles while I was walking around but I couldn’t fix the little roller/jump over the log.
So please take care out there.

    thanks for all the comments,

Morzine was at the top of our list and it sounds like the place to go to get us started with some alps summer holidays.

any suggestions chalets or specific booking companies?

thanks Scott I’d got the 4 out 5 rounds bit and final round clear in my head.

this was the bit I was unsure of” And I’m almost certain we are using the BC points like the BDS.” but it sounds like that’s still TBC at the mo.

I was trying to figure out if a “middle table master” like myself was going to accrue any points

Can anyone enlighten me on how the BNES series points system works? 🙂

thanks for all the replies, Canyon have already replied to my query and a bolt is in the process of being dispatched. So this seems a much quicker process than my frame warranty.

and it was bolt number 5 I was after, and completely agree it was a long shot trying to find something suitable myself. but you never know 🙂

The bolts didn’t have thread lock on them and I’ve had this frame for 4 years and have done bearing cleans/replacements 3 times a year. So I could tell they were too tight.

as per above 4×4 isn’t needed. spend 5k on a Passat, A4 avant or A6 avant. got my a6 with 75k on the clock and 5 years later its ticked over 188k last week and has tonnes of life left in it and nothing has failed

k I think a golf or Passat GTE will be the ones. I think the golfs were released earlier so will be the cheaper option on the used market. when I was looking earlier the golfs started at 15k.

The Volvo is a bit different as it actually uses a diesel engine and not a petrol. anyone got a V60 D6?

thanks for the feedback so far.

I do need a bigger car (I’m already compromising on size by looking at Golfs and A3s) , two kids a Labrador, bikes, etc. the car is not a company car, it’ll be my own car with me paying for fuel. Car will defo get charged at home.

the numbers from Simon with GTE sound very good. and driving it to work in hybrid makes the most sense with the slow moving and stop start sections of my commute.

Luckily it’s two families so we do manage to leave the house, just lol! We are going outside of school holidays. So price isn’t really that bad at all. Depending on the week it it’s between £650-£700 for the 4 bed villa. So split between us and the other family it’s not a crazy amount. Plus we are doing a summer holiday to  Portugal, so this is are ‘easy’ holiday in the uk.

I will look at going into EU for the future but next year will be a uk site

leave it in the house so they can play with it. we did this before introducing them to the balance bikes

thanks for the suggestion. I did start looking at trail bikes to. like the DMR trail star, but the price difference between a x4/jump bike and a hard tail trail bike is a good jump up.

amedias if you can ask him about his subs:hours, I’d be really interested. thanks

    jamesg55

    some good points so far.

that is true you do usually get more ‘views’ on a video than subscribers. previously I think it was done on a certain amount of ‘views’ in a certain period. but changing it to ‘watched hours’ has set the bar quite a lot higher as looking at the info youtube gives on my channel most people don’t watch the whole video.

njee20 sorry I probs didn’t word the question correctly. I don’t expect to get paid for what I do, it just a hobby but I quickly looked at the numbers vs mine. What I confused by was the total number 1000 subs vs 4000 watched hours.

Looking at my numbers the 4000 watched hours is actually a really big amount and wanted to get other peoples view on the 4000 hours vs their channel

mine (inline air) is now three years old. failed after 9 months and got some upgrades when fixed. since then it has been spot on. it was service late summer and there have been more upgrades internally again. So I got another bag back with old parts which have been swapped out 🙂

I did think it would be porous so I left the pads in the alcohol for about 10 minutes or so before lighting them.

I lost my bleeding block and had to do them. but ye a replacement block will sourced.

well I’m going to ride them, I can clean the disc off if they do contaminate then just bin the pads and just put new pads in. And It won’t kill me at my local of Cannock chase #smallhills

lol, ye I was too tight not to try, and on my local stuff it isn’t that steep or tech so it’ll fine 🙂

Lol K, need to leave it longer next time 🙄

Think I’m going to borrow a pro bleed kit with the clamps to see if I can reduce some of the air in the system.

Yep Andy, At the being of the year royal racing had a web post about looking for grass roots riders which is what I replied to.

is this not the 4th year the strive and spectral have been these frames.
I got my spectral for Christmas 2015 off the wife and they had been out for most of that year from memory. so this will be 4th year with no frame changes?

canyon are really striving to make that frame pay for itself. did you see what I did there? lol. I’ll close the door behind me
