Drop me a note when you move up, happy to show you around… plenty of sniggletrack if you know where to look 🙂

Edit: I meant the film company had exclusive use of part of the public car park

Ah, thought you meant in the forest… 😉

However I did hear that Bracknell Forest Borough Council received £20K for letting the film company have their own car park.

Seems unlikely given they don’t own the land!

Optilabs (.com) have also done 2 sets of Oakley frames with prescription lenses for me now.

    Well, 6’3″ a bit anyway! 😉

Yep, great to be back on the plastic bike… it’s been put away for several months but after fitting the new XTR was desperate to get it out again.

Didn’t quite make it to the Pines itself, just most of the woods between Nottingham & there 🙂

It was a one*-off made for Kate originally for Mtn Mayhem solo and then used as her guiding bike out in Luchon with AQR.

Also recently borrowed & used by Anne Dickins at 24 Solo World Champs in Oz too… http://annedickins24.blogspot.com/

I got a £70 Oxford heavy-duty chain & lock online for £35 last week from some motorbike shop down south 🙂 Seems pretty sturdy.

The new 2010 BFe is here!

Super versatile design means it's great for anything from jumpy 4X ripper, to 160mm forked All Mountain rock hound, flowing through hard hitting trail bike on the way.

Made tough and durable using a Reynolds 631 and 853 air hardening steel front end, with the same geometry as our legendary Soul hardtail, so you know the ride will always be rewarding.

XTR hubs here too & great so far.

Plus great value compared to Hope etc – with Olympics and light spokes, I've got a much more affordable 1377g wheelset 🙂

Looks great Oli, glad you like it already.

Will be very sad to sell mine – almost new large Soda frame coming up for sale this week if anyone's interested 😉

Me too Rich! Fair play (/more fool you! 😉 ) to anyone who did ride.

And what was that fireroad to get into Swinley all about… that alone was enough to put me off!

    Have you considered the Pyrenees?

See AQR – http://www.aquickrelease.com – for some top notch French (& Spanish!) singletrack 🙂

Large Soda frame for sale from me shortly, ridden about 10 times.

The great thing is they're super-versatile. We use Sodas as our race bikes on the AQR team but when I had a Soul it was much more of a trail bike build.

    Mine's not far over 21lb with Durins / Olympic / XTR / KCNC stuff…

    Doesn't sound right at all.

21mm is for Olympic rims, 25mm for slightly burlier ones like Arch rims.

Perhaps 12mm is regular rim tabe, not stuff to seal your rims for tubeless purposes?

Cheers all, think I'll go with the Protections then – 100g a tyre lighter than the USTs (for Mtn King 2.2s) 🙂 Supersonics might be a step too far for this bike.

Do these have u-turn style travel adjust? If not, what's the "Travel Adjust" refer to?

Originally I meant Pike, but I think just Scafell now due to some less-regular walkers in the group…
