It always amazes me how many people are willing to repeatedly email when they don’t get a response first time. Pick up the phone and talk to people!!!! How do you know your email has been received/isn’t sitting in a junk email folder etc etc??

I’ve used UKBikestore and bit and have always found them very good. I’ve spoken to them over the phone a few times with technical queries and they are superb – feels like a real bike shop with people who know what they’re talking about rather than just a warehouse churning out orders. Will definitely use them again.

Dogtag prob also worth a look – not sure if they cover competitive riding though?

Any tips for getting the hose right onto the barb after shortening though? Done a couple and always a couple of mm away from butting up tight against the body of the remote…

Loved it! As trail centres go it’s downright good fun. Some nice techy climbing through slippy roots and off camber single track and some descents that will be guaranteed to put a grin on your face. Not ridden Grizey to compare though…

Here’s mine – now running 1×10 rather than the 2×10 setup there and have added a few bits of subtle gold bling and more importantly have aligned tyre and rim logos! Only a few weeks old but absolutely love it!

There’s a race report on Singletrack front page which has a few pics and a youtube clip (in which my arse makes a quick appearance while chasing a couple of others down stage 4 ;o) Official photo chap reckons his photos will be up tonight on http://www.peterstevensphotography.com but there were loads of cameras all over the place so there must be plenty of photos out there somewhere…?

edit: Singletrack report updated with rider photos – 90% of which are rather average. Sorry, but it’s true… Mmost are of the rocky drop-in off the fireroad on stage 4 but rather than have the rider taking the drop they are of the rider pre-drop.

Aye, a really top weekend. Never done one before and no idea what to expect but really enjoyed it. Stage two was a bit too pedally imho, and shame that Stage one had to be changed last minute as the new section didn’t flow as well. A few registration/numbering issues and the seeding seemed a bit chaotic, but otherwise well run and will be back for more!!
