    Thanks for your input much appreciated, thought that might be the case.
    It’s pretty good but I wish I went with lyrik rather than pike. I know that it wound not give me any more stiffness but. I thought it might help with chatter.
    But I was just wondering and messing around and thinking about any changes just for fun.

    Hows a 130 trail bike with a shock? I’m tempted might try megneg first!

    Loving the comments!

    It’s a just a fun debate.
    I certainly don’t care what people think about what travel of bike I’m on. I’m always having a grine on my face

    Lol I see a lot of people riding big bikes on not very demanding trails. But sometimes I ride a bike park and then fancy something bigger even if I don’t really need it.

    Don’t think the logo looks good nor is it ethical made.

    I’m sure it’s super good to ride though.

    I’m a fan of Bird mtb. Think it’s their customer service makes the brand stand out

    I don’t think the name Ethic is a good name for the ebike, too confusing.
    The ebike looks good but the big branding just doesn’t look great.
    I’m afraid image is important to people and bikes aren’t cheap.

    Other wise keep up the good work .

    If you are happy with it ride it for now. You can always get a new frame at a later date.

    @Northwind

    Theres this video with a bit more info on the flex. Oneup was rated 21 hope31.8 rated 18. Was a few bars at 17 and 16 so I guess the hopes flex is middle of the road. I guess hope’s new 35bar is meant to be more flex so it’s reasonable to say it’ll be 19 maybe 20.

    No I said the Hope 35 Vs Hope 31.8. Hope says their 35 bar has more compliance than their 31.8.

    Interesting about the grips. You reckon that its the bolts that transmit the vibrations?

    Thanks for the info good to know.
    Any idea where to get decent Heli tape? In the event I get Bird in Raw ;-).

    Hey Ben is the lacquer harder wearing or less wearing than paint?

    Is that there to stop the frame from oxidizing?

    Cheers

    Tough call, ideally I’d want the longer drop.

    That’s the number one option. What about dt240 hubs? More cash though.

    I guess carbon rims would be risky?

    But I do like cotic and it’s pretty much what I’m looking for

    @joepud

    Cotic mentioned and plenty of other people say that the steel is compliant and rolls with the terrain so the steel frame can give more grip and smooth things out nicely.
    But on the flip side when charging or turning in berms the flex isn’t what you want.

    Pros and cons.

    You’re right about overthinking but it’s 4.5k+ bike and it’s a lot of money for me. So I’m finding hard to warrant spendings that much cash!

    @getonyourbike you’re probably right. I’m not looking for a bike park bike. But as im Surrey I don’t have anything too big near by 90% of my riding will be within a couple of hours away. With a few trips to Wales etc..
    The cotic are meant to be great for big natural terrain but Ill be riding parks too.
