I like the Scalpel too, but the Cannondale specific stuff puts me off slightly. Same to a degree with the brain.

I have the radar (with a edge 830). Really like it. Like wobbliscott I find it useful on country lanes, where you tend to ride more in the middle. It is also useful in giving you a good indication of how many cars are coming up behind you.

I run what I think they call a pro-compact – eg 52/36 in front. Paired with an 11-30 at the back. Gives pretty good choice. If I decided to do Haute Route – I would probably go compact to 50/34 and / or put a 11-32 on the back.

Sigma is always very good. Also good in handling returns.

Out of curiosity, what is the issue with Tweeks? I have only used them once for a cassette and delivery was on time etc. So would be good to know if I need to avoid going forward.
