The nukeproof blackline tops and shorts are nice, Troy Lee skyline shorts are good too.

There’s a general rule of 50% price drop for first year then 10% off each year after that.

I was looking at the ripcurl suits as i’ve been told they are generally good for taller, thinner people, the dawn patrol i’ve found for about £130 on sale which seems reasonable. The next one up, the E bomb is around £180.
The advantage of the srface suits is they have 30 day trial and free returns. Bit more at £210 which is about as much as I would want to spend.
Ive had an older c skins winter suit which I wasn’t that impressed with but their newer stuff is maybe improved a lot? But I think any half decent newer suit will seem miles ahead than what ive used last few years!

Not sure if this has been said but I would seriously reconsider if your thinking of a holiday somewhere a little more remote.
I live on the North devon/Cornwall border and the shops are already empty and the underfunded health service already under strain. I don’t think hundreds of thousands of people turning up and spreading covid 19 in all the more remote areas of Britain would be a great idea really. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put a travel ban in place but who knows?

Any 9 speed sram shifter should be compatible. You’ll need to change the inner cable and could be worth changing the outer whilst your at it if its getting on a bit.

An update to this. After going back to lenovo and coming back un fixed The laptop went to a friend who’s an IT tech. His company is registered as a Lenovo service center.
He replaced the hardrive which was faulty and re installed windows which he said had been badly installed originally. Luckily, as he was a friend he did the work for free (well I fix his bike in return!) and I just had to pay for a new hardrive.
Must say, not impressed with Lenovo or ebays protection policy. Glad the bloody thing is sorted but a bit annoyed I had to pay to replace the HD on a brand new laptop.

I think the one i’m looking at has flat glass in the sides and front. There are two reviews of varde stoves on the what stove site, neither for the ones im looking at but both good reviews and I’d assume build quality would be consistent over the range of stoves.
The DG Ivar looks nice, another one to look at! I think I prefer the more contemporary designs, for this house anyway as its fairly modern.

Sorry for your loss. My Dad died when I was 21 (about 12 years ago), it was sudden though not unexpected. He had been ill for a while but I hadn’t expected it to be so sudden.

All you can do is hang in there. Its tough, and tough to have to sort out the practicalities when you cant really think and just want to grieve. Let your friends and family help and offer support however they can. Don’t feel guilty for any moments of happiness that you may be able to find. Remember that it will get easier however much you are struggling.

Looks like the one! I do a similar route quite regularly. When you come up the hill to Manaton you can take the bridleway to Water on the left just before the church instead of going down the road. Always a bit confused as to why they miss that little bit out and always use the road in the mag routes.
Watch out for the jungle like vegetation in places!

Just had a knackered (badly dented) arch mk3 rim replaced with an ex471 which seems pretty bombproof. Heavier than the arch but also seems a lot less prone to denting.
I reckon you could get a set of pro4s with ex471 rims for around £450

Not used the push one but I have the smashpot fitted to some lyriks and it’s great!
Hydraulic bottom out adjuster works a treat allows you to firm up the last 50mm of travel, lots of spring options, can swap them between forks and adjust the travel and I think it’s cheaper than the push too. Would definitely recommend!

I have an airdrop edit v2 and can very much recommend them! Out in the alps at the moment with it, it’s a great enduro/mess around/Park bike

Kinetic bike bearings. Get the presses too and do it yourself? I suppose it depends on the frame but the eight bearings on my airdrop took around 30 minutes with the correct presses

Just put a dhr2 2.4 wt on the back of mine, feels a lot heavier and pretty draggy compared to the 2.3

I have lv home insurance, think bikes up to certain value are covered, maybe £1000 and any over that have to be specified which ups the cost a bit. Still pretty reasonable though.

I just had this same dilemma, knackered an arch mk3 rim and in the end have gone for a Dt Swiss Ex471, just waiting for it to be built up. Im normally using 2.3 or 2.4 maxxis tyres and figured I probably wouldn’t see any benefit of going for a wider rim.

Supposedly already dispatched. To be fair I ordered a couple of bits from them a month or so ago and they turned up with 3 or 4 days.

I’ve had a couple of the stans rims, not cracked any but put a fair few dent in them. I found the Ex471 for £61 from tredz so I’ve gone for one of them, slightly tougher over slightly wider seems the way to go for me!

How much is it to upgrade/service it? Ive got a coil inline which has been great, worked flawlessly and never had any issues with it. I’ve also had a ccdb air (not inline), which worked great when it was working but did have a few issues. Probably wouldn’t go for a ccdb Air again but couldn’t recommend the coil enough!

Whats the DT swiss equivalent of the arch or flows? Superstar have 35% off so I could get a good price om a flow mk3 or ex3 rim. How are the DT swiss rims better are they less susceptible to denting?

Have you measured the stanchion? Think some 150mm forks could actually have 160mm stanchions limited to 150mm movement.

Ive had the Edit v2 for a year and a half and its an awesome bike, the v3 in black will probably be my next frame. Dont think you’ll find much better for the money!

The TLD xc gloves on Merlin for 13.50 are a different design. Not as tough as older ones, ive just had a set replaced through warranty after 2 weeks as they were already falling apart.

I was between a 40 and 45lb spring, I weigh about 150lb. I went for the 40lb spring and I think it was the right decision.
They feel super plush now but with decent mid stroke support as well. The bottom out adjuster works really well, I tend to just add a few clicks if I’m riding somewhere like bpw where I’m going to be doing drop etc.
All I would say is check the installation instructions before ordering as I hadn’t realised I was going to need a few tools I didn’t have.

I had a tesla front and fuel rear and the end caps came out the front and the spacing on the rear was a bit different to my hope hubs. Not really a massive deal breaker but seems odd they wouldnt fix these little problems for the newer hubs.

In my experience don’t buy a secondhand ccdb air.
