    Hi, thanks all.

    Good idea re: pink bike post. Will also hit RideIO.

    I’m planning on spending about three days in the Japanese Alps. Heard a few good things about the ‘adrenaline sports’ spot in Gunma district, minukumi I think. Its on the route from Tokyo to the Alps area. Any one been?

    In terms of bike hires, what are the options at Fuji panorama? Years ago the bike hire options in the european alps were terrible, (shonky Vario’s) but have recently improved massively (Trek Sessions).

    Any idea?

    Ok, Rhythm Cycles, or an exploring adventure. It’s not a cheap place to be spending days searching for trails and routes. So ,PocketShepard, I’ll look into the Niseko area a bit and report back with findings…

    Thanks all.

    @oneinalifetime… Yep, agree with you tbh. We shot some more challenging routes and lines, some rock garden sections at the top of Deux Alps etc but my lack of skill with the camera, and perhaps rider ability (sssh) meant those sections came out looking very slow. Not sure how to improve that really, other than shoot faster mates?
    Decided in the end to go for more shots of the mountains, the scenery, the contrast between there and the office and parts of trail where it was obvious the rider was blasting along.
    What do you mean by ‘bitiness’?

    @Pook
    Aaah, but what an artistically beautiful meadow right?
    I got the footage of him ragging it back down, but it ‘didn’t make the cut’

    @NCBoy, how does one go about doing that?

    @flyingmonkeys… totally agree, but was a bit stuck for footage as it turned out. Coupled with picking a track that has a long build. (I already cut 4 bars out of it, twice!)
    Certainly intend to up the riding content next time.

    Nice one winterfold good idea.. Sounds like I might be learning some new spots/trails as well. Flytipper gap?

    One of the problems of not doing the 9-5 is lack of people to go play with.

    @Jedi
    , in summary, yes, but as Hornet says, clothing is mandatory.

    Anyone else fee?

    True, but its for the benefit of fitness that I'd be out of an evening, so it strikes me that whilst it'd be faster/easier on a road bike, it would be just as beneficial to push as hard cover less ground on a whippet Mtb?

    However, am warming to road bike plan.
    Never had one before, any suggestions, is there an STW equivalent for roadies that would be able to advise me with suggested bikes?

    Get one, pull skids and wheelies, and wear clown shoes if that helps. At 6-4 myself and 31 I couldn’t give a sh1t about the kids laughing at me down the park. To be honest I was pleased that the yoot of today actually turned up, and gave encouragement and support on a qrt pipe hip I was stalling on. Give it a go, they’re a right laugh. But like most people here, “tool for job” sense suggests its not the one for commuting, (unless its a sweet manual slope all the way there and a series of hips, pops and berms on the way back?) but then I wouldn’t think fixed gear brakeless bikes are good for mixing it up with the traffic either so maybe I am past it.
