I've worked in retail stores where some stock, you made very little on and some you actually made a loss on, purely to get people in and buying stock with a decent margin. It's up to the sales bod to upsell to the profitable stock. If you've no profitable stock to upsell to, y' fecked.

We have a house in Islington where we mix in arts / media and film making circles and a flat in Stockport where we mix in milkman,careworker and car mechanic circles, and we don't eat cous cous or drink niche beers, I do have lots of different types of oil, not just olive for cooking with and I make my own butter. I have no idea what that all means though.

As a general principle, I don't bother to argue with people with religious beliefs, as their judgement is so obviously so fundamentally flawed to begin with, and so many believe that atheism is inconsistent with living within a moral framework, it's like arguing with people who believe that the earth is flat, or the moon is made of cheese,dogs are good,black pudding isn't technically a vegetable etc.

Hmm, that came across as a bit glib, sorry. When I first left the army I was diagnosed with ptsd, cos I had panic attacks, over the years I've been diagnosed as being bi-polar and having a dis-associative disorder. However the panic attacks have remained a constant companion.

For me, the panic attacks seem to be the result of being agitated generally, which maifest itself in me getting really stressed about doing, well almost anything at all sometimes.

The way I've dealt with it recently after twenty years of being as mad as a bag of snakes, is through mindfulness CBT, which is a combination of relaxation / breathing techniques and cbt, seems to work for me. I Still get panic attacks, depressive / manic episodes and whole days where either I do stuff I can't remember or can quite clearly remember doing stuff that on reflection and conversation with friends, I in fact didn't. The Mcbt, does make the panic attacks manageable though.

Hmm, so do I I'd go as far as to say I collect them amongst other memes and artifacts of contemporary folklore, However I also like and collect films and books, it doesn't necessarily mean I accept them as fact or in anyway plausible.

The fact that the more people watch and are aware of for example "The Italian Job" or "Harry Potter" than were aware of them ten years ago, Doesn't suddenly make them true or any more plausible.

I have two four led ones from the local pound shop on my bars, they work. When they break or I lose them, I go berserk and spend a couple of quid on new ones. They are bright enough that I have to point them down to prevent me blinding oncoming drivers anyway.

However, I only ride at night on my own, so the advice about matching y' lights to other riders if you ride in a group makes perpect sense.

I've got a humax freasat box, it's ace, it has a few kids channels, the horror channel, a few other ropey film channels and a loony conspiracy theory channel that freeview doesnt. I've got a freeview PVR as well and that has film 4 +1 and Dave amongst others, which freesat doesnt.

Yup. i'm a luthier specialising in solid bodies, depending on the materials and hardware spec of the instrument, I make between 3 and 5 most weeks, ranging from about 1 to 2 grand each usually, though some people want to spend more.Acoustics are'nt really harder, just a lot more time consuming,and I like solid bodies so I stick to what I know.

I got into it through maintaining and servicing my own over the years and just kind of drifted into building them for people and it eventually turned into a full time business, I don't have any quals, but I have been building and modding guitars for forty years.

Sorry not to reply sooner but I've been working 🙂 People seem to be spending chunks of their redunancy money on Statement guitars for some reason, so I'm currently up to my armpits in swamp ash,p90s and tele necks.:)
