unless you are miles from the room, don’t bother, you’ll just be running in there every five minuted at the slightest noise and after about three weeks will get p****d off and turn it off.

We had one for our first and never bothered with the following two, monitors are just pain in the bum frankly.

Mind you if it’s your first, you’ll ignore this advice and buy a stupidly expensive or complicated one anyway, I would have done so not sure why i even bothered replying really.

That’s been no help at all really has it?

I live In Islington, so I’m already there. It’s ok. Apart from the accent and the weather, it’s Pretty much the same as living and working in any of the other big cities of the world I’ve lived or worked in.

try allparts or axesrus, both can be googled quite easily, you don’t really need to spend more than about 30/40 quid to get a really decent set, although you can spend less, you need to allow a bit of luck to get a usable set for much less, as consistency can be a bit patchy on budget heads from one pack to the next.

Make sure they are all consistently assembled and tightened,If they are a covered mechanism…..cheap or expensive, before you fit ’em, pack the mechanism out with vaseline or copper grease and they’ll hit and hold the correct pitch a lot better as well.Check the internal diameter of the holes before you order as well, if they flap about in the holes, they’ll struggle to hold pitch, just but the right size in the first place.

bought my humax from john lewis just before crimbo. ‘kin great, just as reliable/flakiness free and easy to use as their freeview hard disk boxes are. EPG and search facility are well laid out and easy to use, picture and sound as good as anything else that I’ve seen, and I’m really, really a***y about what I watch and listen to, hardware wise. And if its the same as the non pvrs they do, you can tune the non freesat channels in as well, although they are a bit crap, or locked out so i haven’t tried.

I’d buy one, well if I hadn’t already you what i mean

I was a`white goods warehouse manager for a while, the machines we got the most of back percentage wise were hotpoint/indes*it, exactly the same machines badge engineered now. Bosch oddly enough, but they seem to keep a very good brand perception, whilst not actually being anything out of the ordinary at all.

The machines we got the least back percentage wise were Miele, we never really got any back except for one with cosmetic damage on delivery, LG, especially tyhe direct drive machines and beko, beko are amazing, cheap and indestructible, they break down sooo rarely it’s incredible, bloody ugly though. If you dont want to spend Miele money, just get a zanussi.

everything else was round the middle ground, part from dysons, which just ripped your washing to bits in a beautifully styled product, but not actually any f*****g good at all way.

I work in Mental health, we are taking on shed loads of clients and bus loads of staff, and having the building expanded to cope with the extra workload/client base, as many folk who have lost their jobs, have lost the plot as well.

My partner works in tv and film vfx, and as long as people are off work, they’ll watch tv and stuff, so it’s all gangbusters here.

sorry for anyone who’se just lost or about to lose jobs, it’s a p****r, happened to me a while back.

“Get a job in the motor trade – that will open your eyes.”

That’s really funny for oh so many different reasons, which tbf i can’t be bothered to explain…….however, I spent many years slotting terrorists and other assorted mit mots for queen and country, I think that I can safely say my eyes are probably further open than yours. but that does not mean you still behaved like a poltroon, and there are many things that I am but aspirational middle class, is not by any stretch of the imagination one of them.:)

I’m still me but as I’m bi-polar so it may not be as clear cut as it first appears.
