Cos they're 'kin ace and it's taken everybody else years to realise it, it has driven the price of them up unfortunately 🙁

Marshall mg15fx, I've got one and I've got a Roland cube 20x as well, and I think the Marshall is better. The Roland has a battery facility and a strap lug or two, which is it's only plus point really, in terms of sound, it's not as versatile and doesn't have anything like the range of variation on the fx. The Marshall has a line level out and I've used the Marshall at home, in the studio,on stage without any bother at all. Very rarely even use the cube now, The Marshall is not that much bigger, only a tenner or so more and tonally a lot better. I'm a luthier, and consequently have a number of small amps knocking about the workshop and flat, and the little Marshall is by far and away my fave. If I had to keep just one of them, it would be the Marshall

That said, as mentioned above, the line six stuff is really good for the money, I have a pocket pod from them and it's great.

If that renders you speechless, you must have led a very sheltered life I'd say 🙂

"you'll get a right answer from somewhere "

That's very optimistic, you'll get a barrage of contradictory answers and start three arguments about a topic you have requested no info on is more like it.:)

I got 60 quid a few months back as well, and that was with huge wheels and barely worn big knobbly General Grabber off road tyres, bloke said without them it would be worth pretty much bugger all.

Steel by the ton is pretty damn cheap at the moment apparently.

It's the Telegraph, they've only recently accepted that world war 11 is finally over, I expect them to be about fifteen years behind the actual press regarding research, provenance and employing reporters who are actually awake and the like……

"It's never going to happen; the murder and mutilation of my children

I'm sure lots of parents have said that.

Ah, but how many have said

"It's never going to happen; the death and mutilation of my children by a careless/speeding/drunk driver"

That's much more likely, and I know which I'm more concerned about, looking at standards of people's driving and some of the views about speeding expressed on another thread today.

" hello police? I've just spotted there's a 'kin shotgun in my garden, I'm not touching it, you can come and get it sharpish…."

or you could just pick it up, take it in, then pull it out in the chief super's office and hope for the best.

yup, before you know where you are, there's bodies everywhere as it all spirals horribly out of control, you are killing people faster than you can get rid of 'em and y' being chased all over the east end by Vinnie Jones in an old rover. Never get a quiet night in again.

    Two things here:-

A: He may be legitimate,he may well be paying tax, insurance etc, he may not be. Report him and let the DWP sort it out, if he's koshe no problem. The DWP will know better than the neighbour's hearsay what he's claiming, if anything.

B: I'm technically severely disabled, get disability living allowance(which I'm entitled to whether working or not as it isn't means tested), however I can lift a chainsaw(legitimately and legally) and work for my self from home now, and worked for a mental health charity till recently (pay tax,and everything) as that's easier than trying to get a nine to five with a disability as most employers, unless they can see your second head or wheelchair assume you are just blagging them with a disability, or accept you have a disability and won't touch you with a s****y stick.

Having said all that, I shopped somebody recently, who told me he was claiming benefits and working and making a fair bit of money doing it.

I live over the road from Stockport station and it is a bit crap, but not really that bad. Mind you, I'm full of anti-depressants and mood stabilizers, my eyesight is fairly crap and I have pretty much no sense of smell.

"Yes, but in digital signals the communication is "clocked" – the period during which each bit should be found is known, meaning you can identify a bit as a 0 or a 1 within that given timeframe, even if there is ringing and serious ramping on the signals at both ends. "

yup, I agree completely, that's exactly why I said "whether or not you can tell the difference is a different issue all together though. "

oh yeah, we used to run up to .5 kilometer before we expected to see any problems, and that was using un-screened alarm cable, my point is simply that digital signals can degrade but that it's rarely an issue

    jahwomble

"A digital signal will not suffer this"

actually, capacitance on the cable will hack away at the trailing and leading edges of the waveform,(you're not actually sending 0's and 1's, it's a nominally square wave that represents 0's and 1's, being sent in an analogue format.) making it less square and eventually it will begin to look like an analogue wave if is enough capacitance is introduced, thus confusing the digital to analogue converter as to what is is actually receiving, whether or not you can tell the difference is a different issue all together though.

Purple turtle music in Stockport (on Ebay as well), do a half size strat copy in pink and it's about 50/60 quid, a friend who is a pro session player….. his daughter has one, and he reckons it's great, they have an in house guitar tech who is really good and sets everything up before it ships as well. They have a range of pink practice amps as well.

For a six year old, unless she's freakishly large 1/2 size is as big as I would go, 3/4 size would be huge for her. 1/2 size will last her more than long enough to decide if she'll stick with it.
