All of the cars I have had this century have had hands free phone options, my latest car a  Kia proceed wont move without me putting the seat belt on which is bloody annoying if i need to move it 2 m on the drive . It wouldnt be much of a step to apply similar tech to phones? .Internal cameras and phone detected = no start

Some good advice ^^ can only add that, after a subarrachnoid Haemorrhage in 1980! and operation to clip it, I have managed another 45 yrs reasonably well, left hand side is still a bit weak and seem to have developed Raynuads issues in hands. Getting your mate to hospital was the best thing you could have done and in a timely manner. All the best for him and you. There seems to be a lot of people on here with similar stories, is that % representative of the general population?

We had to weatherproof 2 boxes for a race event used 3 spray glues and some 1000 g polythene from screwfix to completely cover them  worked out ok  but did get a bit soggy in steady rain, will you have somewhere dry to store the boxes when away? Mrs G had to unpack her bike on 2 overseas trip to get sniffed for drugs! ( clear!) factor that in too?

Probably worth getting some actual advice ( home insurance legal cover?) contact a PWsurveyor for budget cost but you shouldn’t be out of pocket on this. In any event take loads of photos as works progress .we take 00’s at work (civil engineering) before during and after

I remember from planning an extension that I would have to pay for the survey and neighbour (you) can decline the surveyor suggested which could be played to your favour… we didn’t go ahead in the end

Just had another great night on our Harrison spinks (made in Yorkshire if that’s your thing) it’s double sided currently in winter mode due for a flip soon but very heavy you can specify the spring firmness for each person very happy with it. the ‘sport’ mode switch is hard to find though !

Before it got nicked on Saturday (£30k plus) my work surveying kit was magical the gps unit accurate to 15mm to OS grid (bit too big for fitting to bars) they say science but nah it’s proper magic first survey kit was premagic but worked in the rain!
Hmm that feels wrong. The OS grid is a flawed planar representation of a the surface of a sphere? Surely its 15mm accuracy to any point on the globe?

2types of magic going on , 1st is GPS to 10m then magic 2 down to 15-20mm magic 2 is some sort of base station radio link so is limited to UK at that accuracy. It was magic though :(

There were some hideous ones at school in 70’s mostly unrepeatable 😱 gnasher was prob the least unpleasant as he had a rather extensive dental array Henry, quite a chunky lad with red hair the teachers had a few good ones. French master always wore a gown and had a small stubby nose hence ‘Batpig’ ,nutty Kate was other French teacher often off with something or other. Many years later poacher turned gamekeeper one lad I used to teach asked to be called beany as he had a bean Shaped head and all his mates used it. (I didn’t use it )

Pleased to report only 1 kid sent to minor injuries in15 yrs teaching DT was one of my top students at the time! He managed to slice through thumb nail with craft knife.
Parents were told quickly and met him at unit , put down as a learning experience (dad was a joiner) hopefully all suitably sorted soon with lessons learned all round

Nobody noticed the caveman fist eaters then? Mostly adults from memory The business end of tool sticking out of clenched fist next to thumb meaning only way to scoop is to scoop towards user makes actual eating look quite a challenge. Lots of tv ads showing poor technique can’t help people eh?

Apologies to DrP I think you might have my daughter somewhere in your home?
Is bath plug full of hair ?
    Is kitchen sink full ?
Is draining board like a mixture of jenga/ Tetris/ buckaroo ?
If yes to the above then you may have a visitor!!
Send her back if/when washing and drying is done
Ps Your lights will be on
