my dream would be to have a nice big place in the alps, id spend the majority of time out there skiing in winter riding in summer, but also kayaking, walking, climbing, paragliding… id take the odd fortnight holiday to my boat in the Adriatic, and maybe have an NYC apartment for the odd long weekend…

i was mighty impressed with Kirkby Lonsdale for a mucky weekend. lovely little town to wander around, loads of nice pubs and a couple of quality boutique B&B’s. Also loads more strenuous activities locally if you’re inclined….

Stephen Graham being carried up them stairs was an incredible scene, but the highlight for me was the one at Woody’s parents house. in fact Woody’s parents, and Jennifer were my favorite characters throughout! Jennifer’s emotion at getting told she wouldnt be bridesmaid was impressive, then on a lighter note, her outfit at the wedding was hilarious!!

My mates on his 3rd or 4th shifter with the same issue. Then again another mate has had zero problems. Seems shimano changed the cam wheel design at some point, with a little guide to keep the cable in the groove.

Happened to me in the lakes yesterday. Managed to get the cover off, free the cable and out back together but happened again. Ride over. Was only it’s 2nd or 3rd outing but the first with any real climbing.

We’re riding out of staveley on Sunday. I believe the route is up Garburn, along the ridge to high street summit, down nan bield and back to the brewery.

Dunno much about roadies but my father in law subscribes to the winter/summer bike theory. I imagine his full carbon campag’d up winter bike is better than most peoples main bike, but his main bike is a custom built titanium effort, with carbon everything. he wont go out on that until he knows it hasnt rained for days incase there are puddles!

we have used them LED collars last few winters. cheap as chips on ebay and dont swing about like one hanging off his collar would. plus you can see him from any direction.

i like the style of evocs, the simplicity. the Ospreys and Camelbaks are all too muhammad im ard bruce lee, with the funny shapes and fancy bells straps & whistles.
