Ive just got a Evoc CC 10L pack to replace my old mule. i love it, used my camelbak bladder as it was only replaced earlier this year so the pack was only £50 with Wiggle. cant knock it, looks proper fresh too!

yeah there was literally nowt left when i passed the 2nd time, thanked my stars id filled up first time. tbh, i was elated when i reached the feed station on the way out, i proper filled my boots! didnt feel the need to stop again on the way back, which was a relief.

struggled with all the roads on my 160mm, but i havent got another bike to choose from! completed the 60k in just over 5hrs. i enjoyed the experience, and its a nice personal achievement, but im not sure id fancy another!?

were in the Barn at Cae Gwyn farm, just down the road form the CYB visitors centre, stayed there a few times before, cant fault it.

this is my first ‘event’ of any kind too, and ive only done a 60k ride a couple of times, and ive been proper goosed!

just looking forward to it being a laugh tho really.

The bar will be open at cafe seren till 1am sat and sun, with the Skarumba Hifi DJ’s, Naph~tali freestyle and the Dubiousreu, playing a eclectic mix of funk, ska raggae, d&b till the early morning, so i think the party’s going to be here in the forest, the woods will be beautifully lit with fantastic lighting and the Hot tubs will be steaming, set up under the trees and sky, there are still some space available book now..

whats it like living in Irwell Vale? i always remark how much i like there when im riding through. however i have concerns about the local sewage works, the lack of any shops, the access and most importantly no pub!?

MTFU? im not that good at all, but i dont enjoy people on my tail, so out of courtesy try not to be on anyone elses tail either. but because of numbers and folk piling through we had to keep going, which just felt like we were in a massive convoy.

i didnt choose em, they were spec’d. i wouldnt touch em again tho.

i took it back to the shop i bought it from and they sent it off for me.

ive just sent my rear one back to Avid. they were new at beginning of june – they had to be bled 5 times. good as gold straight away after bleeding, but never lasted. All of a sudden ill go to apply my brake and the lever comes all the way to the bar with no resistance, and no fkg stopping power either. this happened to me on a descent at Lee Quarry and on the Cut Gate descent in the peaks!

nowt wrong with my mule, its just an ugly devil. The Evocs are much more aesthetically pleasing and sexual.

if i were in the market for a new pack, id get an Evoc!

Them ebay ones are definitely fake, i bought a pair of them and also one from Amazon – there are loads of threads around discussing real/fake F-91’s that confirm it, but the difference is quality is plain for anyone to see.

just strikes me as odd why there is a market for these replicas of such a cheap watch!?

for a watch that only cost 10 or 15 notes full tilt, id hate to be sporting a frickin fake! the black’un is £8 on Amazon – that cant be a jekyll!?

cheers everyone, but i am from Tottington and been riding all round here for years (except toepaths! scoff) was just hoping to discuss some of the hidden gems, the finer details of what we have on our doorstep. My favourite bit locally is the descent from moor road through Buckden woods into Irwell Vale – has roots, drops, jumps, rocks, and just flows really well. its ace.
