im conscious about cleaning my drivetrain after riding this time of year but usually end up washing the whole bike, unless i know its going back out the next day or so. as for me theres an inch of skin between the top of my socks and the bottom of my knee pads, and my face that gets muddy, the rest is a quick hose off and hung up to dry or shoved in the washer. shoes on the radiator.

but yeah it is all a bit of a faff… long for the days you can just shove it back in the shed and go about your day without even needing a shower…

ive been deliberating over a new pack lately too, but having emptied it out and put through the wash its like new and the itch has gone away! thats an evoc too – im gonna wash it again and take it skiing!

hate using wet lube, chain is always ends up a horrible black mess

currently using this stuff, keeps my chain feeling super smooth and can come back form filthy rides looking like new.

bloody gorgeous weather last year and a great day out. dont over think it, just get the best digs you can find any your chosen resort then register for the ppds with the nearest start point. Obviously Morzine and Les Gets starts sell out first, we had to choose Lindarets but just rode over from Morzine in the morning no problems… Friday was the quieter day too…

I used to think that in my more misanthropic days. Now it barely registers on the radar. Just another night in with the Mrs and kids.

I’ve got one of these. It was handed down to me actually by my dad who swore by it (but only used it for featherweight carbon road bikes) 32lb mtbs I wasn’t so sure about. Tbf I have used it a bit, I don’t mind using it to whip the bike up the road to a local train head and it has been fine. It does make the roof wobble tho which puts me off longer journeys especially on motorways or along twisty lanes – however, I was hoping to take a bike to Wales next week; has any one tried using the seasucker with the bike layed flat and bungied to it? Was thinking I could whip the pedals off and turn the bars flat and transport like that?

Just back from seeing it. I thought it was great but my enjoyment was overshadowed by the abysmal 3D that made me feel like I’ve been smoking crack! Dreadful. I have no interest in 3d just I’d have had to wait another half hour for 2d – won’t make that mistake again…

Gisburn. some of the off piste stuff at Grizedale is pretty full on.

i really cant get excited about next years racing just yet. im booked on a couple of tweedlove ones and ard rock, but other than that ill pick and choose. there were spare places become available for every round last year.

Lee Quarry / cockhill has been the favorite last few years – will cockhill be included this time with their current predicament??
