four days off but i only managed a local saturday morning spin with the dog. I was itching to get out after following the updates from EWS Chile, but slogging it over moorland bogs in 30mph winds didnt really live up to it….

Haha thanks but it was the only 27.2 I could find other than the KS ones which can’t really justify on the fatbike… I also wanted the under saddle lever rather than cabled remote for easy swap out.

Tbh it’s been decent, just gone a bit bouncy lately…

There are loads of videos on YouTube and example speeches on the Internet. Divulge these then remember to not use ANY of their material. Witnessed so many speeches with lazy unoriginal re-hashed jokes…

Visual gags are good tho. When I did it the groom was an electrician, I joked that we were only in this room because he re wired the place so got it cheap,, I had ushers on standby to make a loud bang through the speakers and turn all the lights out on cue! Went down a treat!

sounds good Dave, but your name is not clickable for email info…?

my only concern is attaching to my bike, i have a 12mm maxle so that wouldnt work. you reckon just the strap bit attached to the chainstay would be ok? or just tow the thing on a rope? im only going along a straight road for a few miles…

might just tow it on a bit of rope round my waist fwiw…? dont really want any horrible attachments to by bike

the road section is a few miles, so a round trip with him walking alongside wouldnt leave him with enough energy to do the off road stuff. tried it before, ended up carrying him home under my arm!

I wear mine clipped to my belt, need it to get in and out the building. When I leave for the day I don’t always remember to detach it from my belt and put it away because I’m such a bellend.

LCS meet & greet every single time. drive right up to departures, unload, hand your keys over and piss off… car is waiting for you in the same spot (roughly) when you get back. cost about £40 for a week. taxi would cost £35 one way!

Off to BPW for the first time in Easter. How do the trails compare to Antur ?

    Cheers.

doesnt really. BPW is like any other trail centre but with uplift.

yeah i was a reluctant convert to the kindle when i got one at christmas.. always thought there was nowt wrong with books and you can get used copies for peanuts off amazon, but must say im pretty pleased with the Kindle (paperwhite one) its loads better than trying to frazzle your eyes out reading on an ipad!

the new 50 shades is the best. feels like a really natural dirty old DH track! especially after a few hours on all those groomed blues..

apart from that sixtapod into rimdinger is my favorite way down.

id avoid Melted Welly and Terry’s Belly.

I have a 2015 Crush, hardly used it tbh. was meant to be a winter hack but dont get out enough to jusify not riding my full suss so have ridden that all winter.

thinking of swapping the frame to a Bfe275 or the new P7 and bringing it darn saarf with me (where i work) and using it over the summer evenings…

pretty pointless and unrelated post there, apologies.

Another ks lev user..with southpaw…came with new bike. was gonna put my old reverb on but decided to trial it for a bit and just kept with it. find it does need a little bit of waking up at the start of a ride if its been idle a few days but thats about it. love the extra 25mm too.

i had no issues with the audio, apart from Clare’s new boyfriend sounded a bit high pitch!

did have a problem with stupid sweepy swoopy camera shots tho…

i was like that on sunday, couldnt get going at all, making loads of stupid mistakes. was strange, like delayed January blues or something. didnt get them at the start of the year because i had skiing holiday to look forward to, but now its just long old slog till spring time… grim

well impressed with my dinky edge 25. im not one for masses of stats, nor do i give a toss about cadence and heart rate, if were off exploring new territories im never on my own so someone else will have the mapping… i just like to track my rides and check distance/elevation/speed so its serves all my needs. i have a k-edge stem top cap mount and you hardly know its there, likewise you could just toss it in a jersey pocket and forget about it. i get home and my phone is already notifying me my ride is recorded on strava. simples.

id give the modern dailies a bash, new contacts are much lighter, softer and more porous so you will probably be fine for the duration of a ride.

i subscribe to the code of conduct, but i did use to visit the Vue in Angel every week and quite often id smuggle a buritto in from Chilango’s! tbf they are pretty silent eating and it was always devoured long before the adverts finished.

Absolute week of a lifetime in Sainte Foy. Don’t even care the sun only came out a couple of afternoons. The visibility was rarely poor but there was tons of snow and the slopes were empty.

New arrivals this weekend welcomed with snow on the ground at Chambery and it weighing down the tree branches as low as Bourg! The Bastards…

Half way through the week here in Sainte Foy. It has been snowing non stop since we arrived. Conditions out of this world. Not had any foggy white outs either. Only trouble is only a few lifts are open but so much virgin powder off piste to keep it interesting.

ppreciate you are looking for speakers but why not just use in-ear headphones ? FWIW I very much think music when skiing is dangerous, you can’t hear a shoit of say – look out.

Because in ear headphones would cancel out all other noise which as you say wouldn’t be very safe, sociable or as much fun. Helmet speakers allow to to still communicate and hear the snow crunch. Only really use em on the lifts anyway…

    No, helmet speakers. Like these…

But I might just get some cheap headphones and snap the head band off..
